"What a nice surprise this hotel is! The environment is incredible and the hotel itself seems designed to make you feel good in all circumstances. The rooms are cozy, there are multiple common areas, including one with billiards and another with board games, all decorated differently and very warmly. The staff are lovely and the food is very good. In short, this short stay at this hotel put a smile on our hearts, after having suffered multiple disappointments due to storm Hans. We loved it, our children (17 and 22 years old) and ourselves!"

"The hotel has a great location, within walking distance of Aurland bus station and the ferry terminal. If you're driving, there's parking available in front of the hotel. The twin beds are small, which is typical for Norwegian hotels. The hotel's buffet breakfast is plentiful, with salmon prepared in several different ways. You can also order set meals from the à la carte menu; although the ingredients are the same as the buffet breakfast items, they are presented beautifully. The hotel has four floors; there's an elevator on the second floor, which is unlike any other elevator I've seen elsewhere. For the third and fourth floors, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs from the second floor. Aurland is a beautiful town; I recommend staying here for one night if you're visiting Norway in a Nutshell."

"A budget hotel with 18 rooms in total. No lifts. Most rooms are on level 2 and some are on level 3. No individual bath and toilet but sharing. Clean and good for just staying a night for a bed. Free parking."

"Facilities: Fully equipped kitchenware and tableware, including an oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, and microwave. Cleanliness: The rooms were very clean, except for a slight odor from the drain in one of the bathrooms. Environment: Located in a quiet mountain area, you can cook your own meals and dine on the balcony. Service: The washing machine had a minor problem, but the host quickly helped fix it after we reported it. The room is suitable for 7-8 people and is generally recommended."

"A nice village but the locals really hate campers and behave really hostile. Parking is pretty expensive as well. Besides that the View of the fjord is nice"
