Best Hotels in Ayer Itam, Malaysia

It was a very bad experience to check in here. First day when check in my room, the cleaning was too bad as picture I provide 1-7.used face mask hang at the cabinet,used face mask on top of the cabinet, tower at floor, tissue at floor,stain in the cup.unknow stain in the toilet, blood on the pillow case, snack at the floor. when staff come over the room also can't accept this happen. Very appreciate night shift staff help me to change another room for one night.(this was my room) Picture 8 is my fren room, tissue and sugar paper hidden beside bed.and the room full of u know smell. But my fren was not change the room, just ask tomorrow must come to do cleaning. 2nd day morning me move back to previous room..my room is ok, but my fren room been ask to do cleaning, cleaner report done cleaning.. But even we go out for half day and back to hotel..their never do any cleaning to my fren room. The tissue and sugar paper are still there...we do complain again.and staff change another 2 room to us immediately. OK fine, change the room again.. But my room toilet tower was totally wet as picture 9... I really don't know what to said... We pay 4days 3 night almost 520 per person... But we get this experience.. Do hope deview management can really double check the room was clean and tidy before let customer live in and make sure the cleaner do well all their job since now are still pendemic covid 19... Anyway, their staff was very helpful and appreciated for their good attitude and friendly attention.

Minor isaue only - Room downlight 2/3 not working, Cannot sleep well have some disturbances while sleep. Overall good 4.5/5 rating.

I think a few reviewers are mixing this hotel up with another (there is a lone pine hotel also on Penang - mentions of beach etc.). This is the one at Air Itam, which is near Kek Lok temple and Penang Hill. It is in a residential area. Supermarket opposite in one direction, and McD in the other (over the road). The hotel has a good outdoor pool and the room was fine, fairly basic but clean, with small balcony, comfy beds, and quiet at night. Goh Pek Mooi on reception was lovely, very helpful, brought us towels for a swim and very knowledgeable about the local area. You can get a bus from outside the hotel to the temple, and Air Itam itself is untouristy, good for local food. We didn't bother with Penang hill after hearing bad reviews, but the temple was outstanding. The hotel seemed very empty when we were there, but has a wonderful staircase (which you have to use to get to the rooms on 2nd floor as don't think there is a lift) Its about a 20 minute drive to the airport. I would recommend it for what we were doing (seeing the temple, wanting to be in a different place in penang after doing Georgetown and the National Park) but it isn't a resort hotel.

Value for money. A nicely decorated budget hotel in a tourist atrraction area. Room was small, but well maintained. The staff was friendly & helpful. For small price i paid, scrumpcious breakfast was provided in a nice small cafe.Parking was difficult in that area,luckily this hotel provided a parking space for guests. A bit under the bed when i moved it to provide space for prayer area.

Location is great: food is available around within walking distance. Easily located by grab drivers, two malls within short distance. Room is spacious, fixtures clean n new Gym is well equipped; will return again

nice hotel with a strategic place. good to stay for rest after exploring Georgetown. a lot of restaurants and its all walking distance. this place is very good also because they provide a hotel car park (its RM6 per day) which is still affordable. but it will be more good if can improve the cleanliness of the rooms. my room is ok but got a stain like blood at the blanket and also few hair at the floor . btw its still a good place to stay.

Strategic location, Room is clean and cozy, staff are friendly. Nice hotel to stay.. the only setback is the check-in procedure is weird and troublesome . Probably can revisit to esse the process..

Services, location and amenities are good. However, cleanliness is not really good. My level has a bad smell and there was dead cockroach in my room. I also ordered room service during my stay. Staff in charge is polite. That was good. But, the food taste not really good. I like the coffee.

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. Mixed reviews here as 1st night wasnt the best. We were given a room on the 3rd floor extreme left of hotel, turned out to be old, wet carpets from people returning from pool, dirty lift. The room was also run down and we had some bites over the night. Had to go to dr in the morning. Complained and was moved to floor 5 right side of hotel. This room was exceptionally clean and newly refurbished. However, there were so so many good things. Staff were humble and so helpful. Breakfast variety was overly impressive and we definitely over ate. The pools are stunning with service at hand, water slides, loungers, afternoon tea, lunch etc. The hotel faced the beach which had lots of water sports from parachuting, jet skis, banana boat to even horse rides. Location was the best close tonight markets, food and lovely walks. Xmas dinner was spectacular with little treats delivered to our rooms. Will I stay here again? 100% just not on level 3.
