"Always liked! We were already more often guests at the Hotel Bergfrieden and every time very satisfied. The owners and all the staff convince with their friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. The rooms are cozy, generous and very clean. Out of the front you have a panoramic view and behind you can enjoy the rest. The food is tasty and rich. In the evening, hot food, salad, soup and night table are enriched in buffet form. The surrounding area invites to walks or small walks and in the thermal baths you can swim, sauna or just relax. We are tribute guests and will continue it!!! Every holiday is a bit "come home" for us - so familiar and familiar the Bergfried Hotel is for us! Thank you for every holiday with you!"

Mokni's Palais Hotel & Spa ★★★★

"Very nice small hotel with friendly and helpful service. Big room with good bed and nice bathroom with bathtub. Cozy breakfast restaurant - with garden tables (summer) - with very good food and drink (coffee, many teas, juices, smoothie, ginger shot and prosecco). There is no dinner restaurant, but restaurants and cafes are only a few metres away. Across the pedestrian square there is a great spa - a big semi-modern, a modern and a historic one - which is a must-visit. Lots of saunas, warm baths, cold tubs, Finnish cold room and small pool with pool bar. Super. In this Palais Thermal there is also an okay fitness room with cardio- and weight-machines. A few metres down the road there is the Summer Bergbahn, which takes you to the wonderful Schwarzwald treetop walk and tower. A 20-minute walk will take you to a new suspension Bridge, Wildline. It is a five star experience - I will gladly stay again - but just four listed, as spa and fitnesscentre is across the street, there is no dinner restaurant and bar in hotel and the fitnesscentre, though okay, is without free weights and advanced machines."

"I booked this hotel directly through its website and selected the 8:30 p.m. check-in option offered during booking. After a 7+ hour drive from Paris, I arrived at 8:55 p.m. because of a serious accident on the mountain road that brought traffic to a standstill while emergency vehicles responded. There was no mobile service, so I had no way to call ahead. Instead of a normal check-in, I was met with a raised, confrontational tone at the front desk and told that check-in supposedly ended at 6:30 p.m., despite the later check-in time the hotel itself offered when I booked. I was also repeatedly warned that the doors could be locked, then given a lecture about past guests, no-shows, and credit card fraud, none of which had anything to do with me or my reservation. It was an extremely unpleasant and unnecessarily aggressive way to treat a paying guest who arrived based on the hotel’s own booking terms. Other guests should also know that although Bad Wildbad is marketed as a spa destination, the spa, pools, whirlpool, and sauna all close at 7:30 p.m. For anyone arriving in the evening and staying one night, the wellness facilities are effectively unavailable. That was not made clear enough during booking. The hotel was clean, but very dated. My double room had only one pillow, one blanket, and one towel, with no extras available. The overall impression was not hospitality, but bare minimum accommodation. This was the most unwelcoming hotel experience I’ve had, and I would urge anyone considering an evening arrival not to rely on what is presented during booking."
