Is Serenas Badesi Resort ★★★★

"This was our second stay in this hotel but sadly the last one. We initially stayed in Is Serenas Badesi last year and we quite enjoyed it. We decided to come back this year and rent a car and explore the island. We would not be coming back to Is Serenas Badesi. In comparison to last year it went downhill massively. Food was nowhere near up to standard, no variety, cold, with flies everywhere. Items such as cheeses, cold cuts or seafood should be presented refrigerated not in an open buffet bar! Breakfast was pretty poor. There were no themed nights, and really basic composition of each dish. Not to mention either the food or water gave us food poisoning as both of us were room bound for 2 days with somach cramps, nausea, diarrhoea. Management never acknowledged the issue, yet we met a few other couples who experienced the same issues and the queue to resorts doctor was rather large. They turned off drinking water source and provided carton replacements which does make you think it water contamination was the issue. We ended up driving to the nearest supermarket to buy 12 large bottles of water. Prestige pool area was also closed for one morning without explanation. We can only imagine it was due to some contamination. We had prestige room but honestly there is very little prestige about it! It is not worth the extra. WiFi worked terribly this time round, on and off all the time, completely unreliable. There used to be free ice cream at the beach and pool area last year, this year you had to pay for ice cream. The only reason we’ve given it 3 stars is because staff was very nice, and it’s not their fault how hotel is managed. Also beach is stunning and hotel grounds are immaculately kept. But due to bad experience we will not be coming back. We will hopefully come back to Sardinia next year, just not to Is Serenas Badesi."

"In general, I was very satisfied, because of the notes in the review portals I knew I had to check in at Horizon Hotel, which was not explained extra by the provider. The accommodation was clean at my arrival, difficulties were only with the plugs because I had no corresponding plugs and also with the gas shell. However, these problems I quickly resolved through the well-sorted shops in Badesi. The pool is clean and attractive. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The check-out went much more problemless than I thought of certain reviews. More information on public transport and localities in general would be useful."

Mimose Beach Village ★★★

"We stayed for the third consecutive year in a room far from the hall and common services in June 2026: This time the beginning was a bit turbulent due to the lock (later fixed by the maintenance staff) which did not allow access to the room, the presence of ants (we bought a powdered insecticide to remedy this) and the strong smell of miasma coming from the bathroom (this was also resolved after purchasing bleach)... After that the stay continued peacefully with some observations: The continental breakfast is quite satisfactory, while the classic Italian breakfast needs improvement in quality. Lunch and Dinner: some dishes were (fortunately) revised after two days, while others still definitely need improvement in terms of quality, especially the fish second courses... The meat is truly excellent. The side dishes, cooked and raw, are excellent and varied. The desserts are delicious, but unfortunately there is a big flaw: It would be necessary to have an additional employee in the dining room to take care of serving the desserts (as is already done with ice cream) as the usual rude people have no decency and limits in serving themselves, depriving the other guests of even the smallest portion: several times it happened that we were not able to taste a single piece of dessert. Cleaning Aspect: This year it is a sore point: twice they DID NOT clean our room, and after our request at the reception they at least provided us with a set of clean towels. Our impression is, unfortunately, that there is a serious shortage of cleaning staff, a deficit this is probably attributable to the ownership. Finally, applause to the Chef and all the dining room staff, true martyrs, always kind and patient, which is absolutely not easy given the rudeness of several guests. Two suggestions to the Management or whoever represents it: 1) It would be an added value for the entire facility to apply shade cloths (which have been non-existent for years) on the metal structures set up for the car parks... 2) it would be appropriate to have a constant presence of the director or a responsible figure who collects moods, feedback or suggestions on the level of guest satisfaction."

"We asked for a suprise for our parents and the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly organising some special dessert and flowers. They even made the effort to wirte a emotional, personal letter in our name. My parents have been very happy with the superise and the hotel overall!"

"We were 3 families with small children, so place was quite good to keep an eye on them and gave us a possibility to enjoy meal, while they were running around. However accomodation itself had some flaws, we had 1 bedroom apartmen on 1st floor. It looked fine, as we did expect from photos. What did not work for us, was that we could not have shower all 3 of us at once. Usually only 2 people manage to wash, boiler has been always ON. Another really bad thing was constant smell from bathroom (from toilet pipes!). Lastly, normaly they offer possibility of breakfast, but for some reason they decided to cut season short and we could not have breakfat at all. We came in September. Overall, location was also really good and there are lots of nice beaches around. Li Junchi was with free parking at that time."
