Hotel la Majun ★★★★

"We had been staying in Canazei for four nights and now we were moving to La Villa. This was mid-September and it was snowing. Not snowing, it was a blizzard. Big fun with mountain passes and 50m visibility. We arrived at La Majun and WOW, what a hotel. The owner greeted us and told us the spa had been opened early (normally at 3PM). We got a tour of the hotel, restaurant, bar, spa, pool area. Incredible. When we checked in the electronic key did not work so they told us to take the suite on the corner. Very nice, now we had views from two sides of the hotel. The staff was so happy to help us, they all made us feel so welcome. This place rocks. If you are considering staying in this area of the Dolomites please consider this hotel, you will not be sorry. They had some great grappa and armagnac choices and the menu in the restaurant changed daily. All of the amenities were spot on. Great people. Stay here!!"

"Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Stayed for a week in July and they whole stay was just exceptional. The decor, the rooms, the staff, the food, the spa and the VIEWS! 11/10. We stayed here as we know the area and didn't really have any expectations for the hotel of the food. From the moment we arrived every single member of staff went out their way to be of help and were very friendly and welcoming. The food was just unbelievable. Added with the views of the Fanes, everyday it did not disappoint. The location of the hotel made traveling by bus very easy and when we were tired from all the hill walking a nice relaxing day enjoying the spa was such a treat. Would 100% stay here again!"

"I organized a trip for 13 cyclists to ride the Dolomites for 7 days in late August and early September of 2025. From my initial contact with the hotel, which began one year before the trip, until we checked out at the conclusion of our stay, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. A spotless facility with comfortable rooms, gourmet food, exceptional staff, enthusiastic bike mechanic, cycling-specific laundry service, expert route and weather guidance, etc. Many of our group had been on multiple Duvine guided tours at 2X the cost and were blown away by the Melodia del Bosco. Every member of my group commented multiple times about the exceptional facility, its staff and amenities far exceeding their highest expectations. Needless to say, I am feeling ecstatic since I convinced them all to join me on this adventure where we rode 250 miles and climbed 35,000 feet in the beautiful Dolomites!"

"We spent 4 nights at Lagacio and everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely and helpful and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The rooms were spacious and well thought out - larger than many a condo in Toronto! Breakfast was to die for. Beautiful buffet, or eggs from a menu and always a special of the day. Crepes one day, a soft boiled egg with spec another. Lovely lounge for a cocktail or glass of wine. Great massages in the spa. Shuttled to gondola daily and simply text for pickup. Restaurant recommendations and reservations made. Right in centre of town so walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Highly, highly recommended!"

"Lovely family -run hotel. Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff, wine bar onsite, and amazing breakfasts. Top floor has a steam room and sauna which is very nice after a day of hiking. Definitely recommend. San Cassiano is a beautiful, but very small town in Val Gardena. So if you are looking for coffee, restaurants and bars within walking distance, this may not be the town for you."

Villa Flora Mountain Lodges

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Flora Mountain Lodges. We stayed in the Puez family suite with our 2 grown boys on our visit to the Italian Dolomites. We found this was a quieter town among the dolomites which fit us fine. It is very centrally located with the best hiking being between 20 minutes and 1.5 hours from the lodge. There are several nice restaurants all within walking distance. The lodge itself was so peaceful and beautiful our rooms were so comfortable after long days of hiking and the breakfast included was delicious and plentiful. The staff were so kind and accommodating. We were given hiking, shopping and restaurant advice and they even did our laundry for a very small fee. We would love to return here again and highly recommend this lovely lodge, esp the Puez Suite."

"We stayed at the Hotel Fanes for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The room was very spacious, stylishly furnished and always perfectly clean, just like the whole hotel. The food was great, whether at breakfast or in the evening. The vegetarian options in the evening were always a dream. The sauna area is very spacious, and above all there are enough relaxation areas and loungers. An absolute highlight is the 360 degree sauna with a view of the Dolomites and the sky pool!"

"Hotel Gardenazza and its people are simply amazing. Mirjam and Oskar, and the whole team do everything with so much heart and you see it and feel it every day. They pay attention to all the details, little surprises that make your stay truly special and unforgettable. The food was fantastic, from a great breakfast to delicious, perfectly prepared four-course dinners in the evening. We also loved the aperitivo before dinner, either at the reception or in their beautiful garden with mountain views. Their homemade drinks were such a nice touch. Mirjam was so kind and friendly host, always present and making sure everything is perfect. We also had a really nice waiter during dinners and breakfasts, friendly and super attentive, he remembered what we liked to order. The hotel itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean, rooms have great views. The location is perfect if you want to explore the famous Dolomites spots and hikes, go on endless hikes, or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Winter must be great here too, with so many ski slopes nearby. And there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which can be really handy if you want to leave the car behind. This review could be so long, but I want everyone to have the same wow experience, so no more detaills here :) Thank you for an amazing time."

"We were very lucky to be upgraded to the mi Amur as there was just the two of us and it sleeps up to 10 The villa is amazing in all respects Cleanliness, style, comfort, facilities and location It’s beautiful furnishings makes you feel special but relaxed after a hard days walking in the fabulous mountains Claudine our host was so lovely and gave us lots of ideas for rainy days and was so apologetic about the weather as if it was her fault We would definitely recommend the villa and would hope to visit again with some family and friends"
