Arxan Hotels with Balcony

I am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience. I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed. After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend. In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me. I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness. Thank you brother. Lele manager and front desk service are warm and thoughtful, free upgrade, very intimate. The room is clean and tidy, and the toilet intelligent control is easy to use. The location of the hotel is good, it is very convenient to go to scenic spots such as Tianchi. The parking lot is large, parking is available in front of the door and in the yard. There are many varieties of dinner, fast food, good taste and good service. Good stay experience and feel at home.

The Birch Forest Hotel, even its name sounds like it has a story, and like its design, it reflects the owner's many thoughtful touches. The owner is friendly and refined, personally explaining the room's features and maintaining it meticulously. The room is exactly the size described in the link, but it's very practical. A 24-inch suitcase can be laid out without obstructing movement; the space is used very efficiently. The cleanliness is excellent, the bedding is comfortable, and even the lace trim on the disposable slippers seems specially selected. If you're unsure where to eat after settling in, feel free to try the owner's recommended restaurants—they are truly excellent! The location goes without saying; it's very close to popular attractions such as the train station and Holy Spring Square.

The location is in the innermost building of the resort, but fortunately, the hot spring town is not big. It is very convenient to walk to Aershan Railway Station and Commercial Street. You can park at the door. There is also a charging pile. The mountain view room is booked. There is a balcony in the morning. It is really comfortable to bask in the sun. The owner and her family are really great. The room was neat and clean, and since we arrived early, we were able to pick a room with a mountain view outside the window. We originally planned to stay for two nights, but due to an urgent family matter, we had to check out a day early. The owner processed our refund without any fuss, which we really appreciate.

The front desk wanted to upgrade a room in the off-season. There was a team to stay. I still wanted to be quiet. Aershan is a European-style building. The unique loft style is available. The space is OK. I live alone. It is clean, quiet and I am more used to it.

Overall, it's ok to live. The room was very clean and quite spacious for 4 adults. Breakfast is 10 yuan per person opposite. It's relatively simple. If you go early, you'll be late and you won't have anything to eat. Disadvantages: The toilet is small, the water heater has a small water storage capacity, and the hot water is gone before the water temperature is adjusted. The faucet in the sink was not fixed and difficult to use. The room for 5 people was only given 3 pairs of slippers and 3 sets of disposable items, and the attitude was very bad when asking for them. Because we arrived after dark, the staff opened the door and left. My family and I went out again in the evening. When we came back after 11 o'clock, we went to the front desk to find the key. I was told that I had to pay a 100 deposit to get the key. The two staff members didn't tell me when I checked in. They would have given me the check-in earlier, so I wouldn't have gone around looking for someone to open the door in the middle of the night.

The landlady was very considerate and wanted to buy some mushrooms for my dad to take home. She said she hadn’t come down yet and would buy them later. After playing in the evening, she reminded her repeatedly to turn on the heating blanket, and she slept very comfortably at night. Since the children couldn’t drink local water, , the proprietress lent us her hot water bottle to heat water for the elderly and children. Although they are small things, they are very attentive and thoughtful. You can see the ice-free river from the room

During the National Day, the prices of scenic spots increased. If you book in advance, the price is moderate. The boss still didn't raise the price on the ground, and he was very conscientious. Aershan is indeed beautiful. Stay for one night and leave in a hurry. By the way, there is a breakfast shop at the door.

The room exceeded expectations, the balcony of the room is opposite the large lawn and the downtown square, the scenery is beautiful! The sister at the front desk said that the sunrise on the balcony was absolutely amazing, but I couldn't get up after 4 o'clock, sorry. Standing on the balcony, the lights in the city are on in the evening, it feels like a fairy tale town!
