"”Stunning Views and Warm Hospitality” I recently had the pleasure of staying at Royale Chulan Cherating for a short staycation, and it was exactly the refreshment I needed. The View: The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking ocean view. Waking up to the sight of the sound of the waves right from the suite was incredibly peaceful. Whether it was sunrise or sunset, the scenery provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The Service: The staff truly made the difference. From check-in to check-out, the service was top-notch. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. It’s rare to find a team that balances professionalism with such genuine warmth. The Vibe: The villas has a unique architectural charm that feels authentic and serene. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained."

"My friend and I each got a king room. Overall, the service and the hotel's garden design were excellent. The price is quite a good value for a villa-style resort of this caliber. There are gardeners maintaining the flowers and plants every day, creating a beautiful 'step-by-step changing scenery' effect. The only minor downside is that some facilities are a bit old, but any issues we raised were immediately resolved. The front desk staff had a slight accent, but for anyone who understands English, communication was perfectly fine. There's a private beach area upfront where you can relax and watch the sea, which was a really nice touch. There are also cute little cats in the courtyard that will interact and play with you."

"One-night last-minute stay at The Kasturi Resort, Cherating with my husband and two kids. First time here and overall satisfied. Calm, relaxing resort and we enjoyed the spa. However, there is no kids’ club, so it may be better suited for couples or families whose kids enjoy quieter activities. Still a pleasant and refreshing short stay."

"Staff are very friendly and do their best to help you. Beach is nice, golden sand, but came in October and the sandflies were very bad. Hotel says that they do sandfly control but still got bitten many times. Will try another area next time, not worth the red welts due to sandfly bites. Food in the beach restaurant was subpar. Stayed in Selangor Villa, it was quaint to experience a traditional Malay villa, but there are clear signs of aging - don’t expect fancy new kind of place. This is super aged villa."

"Staffs are friendly and helpful..the rooms are actually quite ok but since this is a very old hotel, we dont have a very high expectation..the kettle is not well maintain..there are still water from the previous occupants inside the kettle which is not supposed to be. .the kettle is not clean and we have to wash it few times befkre using it..but overall the hotel is ok with spacious parking space and very nice swimming pools just near the beach"

"Very Satisfied and Overall is a good and worth stay. Staff is friendly. Bfast is delicious especially mee goreng basah was so good. However, my suggestion is to add-on more menu for bfast. Will come back again."

"The location of the premise is very strategic and near to the beach. The beach was not crowded and suitable for groups or families. However the premise was not well maintained as from my experience with the unit there’s issue with the sliding doors, windows and TV. Improvements: TV can be upgraded to Smart TV or TV Box, pantry areas quite smelly. Conclusion: I would definitely recommend people to stay here"

"I was very satisfied with my stay at Tanjung Inn Cherating. The location is excellent, with plenty of cafés and shops within walking distance, and the property connects directly to the beach. The only downside is that the hotel is on higher ground, so getting to the beach means walking up and down a sandy path without proper stairs. Service was generally good, and I found WhatsApp to be the fastest way to reach staff — when I reported a plumbing issue, it was fixed immediately after I texted. Amenities are thoughtful, like the mosquito repellent provided in the room, though the water dispenser was broken and housekeeping doesn’t clean daily or replenish water unless requested. Despite these small inconveniences, the atmosphere is peaceful, the surroundings are charming, and it feels like a great place to slow down and enjoy Cherating. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would happily return."
