"Last visited in 2022, and at that time we were still able to use the swimming pool at the RC Villa. However under the new ownership, access is now restricted to villa guests only for privacy reasons. Additionally, the hotel should consider upgrading its facilities as the furniture is becoming quite dated"

"Check-in and check-out process was easy. Plenty of parking space. The elevator was out of order, but the staff were very helpful and assisted us in carrying heavy luggage up the stairs to our room. The main door to the room wasn't smooth, and neither was the door to the connecting room. The swimming pool was easily accessible."

"One-night last-minute stay at The Kasturi Resort, Cherating with my husband and two kids. First time here and overall satisfied. Calm, relaxing resort and we enjoyed the spa. However, there is no kids’ club, so it may be better suited for couples or families whose kids enjoy quieter activities. Still a pleasant and refreshing short stay."

"This was my first time vacationing here, and overall I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff were very polite, warm, and sincere, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay. The unique beachfront scenery is even more stunning than in the photos. The food was above average, and we ended up having all our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—at the hotel during our stay. We also tried the massage therapy, and I have to say the environment was absolutely amazing—listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying professional massage techniques was a five-star experience. We also went on a Jungle Trial. There are a few spots where clearer directional signage could be added. As a small suggestion for the hotel, you might consider setting up a small shop selling souvenirs,postcards and snacks. Guests can truly relax and spend a leisurely time within the hotel without needing to go anywhere. I would definitely come back again."

"The hotel is well located in Cherating. Walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants. The room was fine, however we felt like it wasn´t ventilated enought prior to our arrival. The swimming pool is great. Breakfast is fine."

"This was our second stay at the hotel with my family, and I noticed quite a few changes. The swimming pool is now very close to the beach, most likely due to the monsoon season affecting the shoreline. The food selection was disappointing with very limited variety, and honestly, not worth the price. However, I did enjoy the location — it feels private and away from the crowds, which is a plus. The room itself was fairly clean, but the TV channels were limited, and there was no iron or hair dryer provided. For the price, it didn’t feel like good value, but for 3 adults and 2 kids, it was acceptable overall."

"Great beachfront and pool—my kids absolutely loved it! We’ll definitely be coming back again soon. The only downside was the buffet breakfast, which felt quite basic and not very tasty. Other than that, everything else was excellent. I’d suggest grab-ing food from outside instead, as there are plenty of eateries nearby."

"Pros: - The hotel is clean - The villa was surrounded by greenery, and surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes at night - Each room has a dedicated parking spot (though there was some confusion upon arrival, we have to park at public parking first then after check in only move to the reserved parking. ) - Water park looks good Cons: - Facilities are very old - Bed springs were noticeable and uncomfortable. - Bathtub had visible cracks. - Showerhead and towel bar were rusty. - Beach area had overgrown grass. - Breakfast staff were unfriendly. - Food was average."

"Unit B-2-8 it's time to change the toilet cover. Master bedroom lights can't be turn off so I ended up sleeping with the lights on. Toilet seat is full of mould marks. Cleanliness is still OK, just a tiny bit of repairs will make my stays feels better. I always love coming back to Samsuria as it's located next to the beach. However, beaches are now fills with rubbish. We cleaned what we can and bring it back to the compound. Overall, there's room of improvement. Old building but perfect gateway"

"The location of the premise is very strategic and near to the beach. The beach was not crowded and suitable for groups or families. However the premise was not well maintained as from my experience with the unit there’s issue with the sliding doors, windows and TV. Improvements: TV can be upgraded to Smart TV or TV Box, pantry areas quite smelly. Conclusion: I would definitely recommend people to stay here"
