Amazing
MMirandaK95We had a wonderful stay here for my 30th birthday. We had the double room which was the perfect size for a couple. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom and shower were excellent. I loved the free pantry for snacks too!
We didn't eat at the hotel but we did sit in the hotel bar and the cocktails and bar staff were great.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, 20 mins walk from Brighton Station, it is along the seaside, very relaxing and all scenic spots are within walking distance e.g. i360, Brighton Palace Pier, Zip Line, Beachside Train.... 1 thing to remind is the view of the standard room there is terrible, NO VIEW at all, it is facing a high wall closely and the window is very dirty, the feeling like being in a confined space or badly in a prison! Though the hotel is old but in good maintenance, the overall decor is elegant.
TTaroSuper cute hotel, only minutes away from the beach. Quiet place slightly further out from the busy bars but close enough to walk. Lovely staff really chatty and helpful. Offered places to go and visit. We would highly recommend it and Would be more than happy to go back again
GGuest UserThe design of the hotel is very retro and modern. The bathroom is clean, the shower water flow is normal, and the view outside the window is beautiful. When you check in, they will help you send your luggage to the room. When you check out, you need to take your luggage downstairs by yourself. The stairs are narrow and steep, so elderly guests should pay attention.
GGuest UserI really appreciate upgrade to room sea view.
But on the night of our stay was very strong wind and omg felt like windows will fall out, we stayed up all night. Room was freezing.
In the no when I did check why the wind noise was sooo bad I realised there was a massive gap between window and frame.
On the check out girl asked how was my stay and when I said it was just alright, she wasn’t bothered to ask why and skipped to next question.
I could point out issue we had but there was a guest in front of me who was talking about the same situation and girl at reception offered her blanket and heater, sounds like it’s on good problem in hotel with windows and stuff can’t be ask to deal with it.
GGuest UserWas absolutely fantastic, staff very friendly, fantastic location and great value for anyone wanting a weeks stay.
The only downside was the breakfast which is not worth the money, else wise great place.
GGuest UserThis hotels frontage echo’s bygone splendour and is perfectly situated on the sea front. However, the hotel is ready for refurb and I certainly wouldn’t stay in the annex again (that’s the bit at the back without a sea view). Out room 254 was not what I expect from a Mercure - we had 2 extra single beds and a tatty sofa chair in our higgledy-piggledy “double” room!
However, the staff were excellent, very polite and welcoming. The breakfast was superb and again the restaurant staff were lovely and professional.
AAnonymous UserThe room itself was decent, but the air conditioning was broken. The Wi-Fi was slow, and the elevator was out of service. Fortunately, my room was on the ground floor. The walls are quite thin, so noise from upstairs or neighboring rooms opening their doors was very audible and often loud. On the plus side, the staff were helpful and provided good service.
GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.
GGuest UserThe staff is amazing from a to z, also bed linens and towels are clean like new. The mattress was very comfortable and good quality. The breakfast was very basic English with filtered coffee. But the building is almost falling apart which is a shame. It takes 15-20 minutes in bus A5 or 5 for £3 one way, which is quite handy. The free parking is fairly good and also handy. The cost for a double room was £175 and I believe that was way higher than it should. All I’m saying is that if I would have known, I could get a much nicer hotel for that amount.
