"Stone cold. No heating and no prospect of any. Property feels like it's on the edge of bankruptcy. Most of the bulbs have been removed. Towels provided every 3 days! You can't dry wet clothing or wet anything in a room the same temperature as a fridge. Dining area might have been good in 1960. Reception looks like your granny's front room - old worn out and noticeably warmer as the office staff clearly have heating for themselves. Top tip is run the shower so it warms up the bathroom with it's broken shower enclosure and it's 1960 suite. Windows don't fit so as it's 5c outside it's 5c inside too. Frankly do not stay here. I noticed construction workers booking in and one of the came back down and asked for blankets."

"Nice place to stay. Was a 2 bed flat converted to a 4 bed in truth, as they used a sofa bed and a pull out bed in the lounge to make up the other 2 beds. So slightly cramped for space. Otherwise the lady at the front desk as outstanding. Very kind and always willing to help. She was help to extend our stay and give us a late check out. The bathroom is simple and clean. They provide towels which are clean. Kitchen was sufficient."

"We stayed with friends from December 28, 2023, to January 2, 2024. A convent that charges like a hotel. Small rooms, a small closet, single beds with mattresses 10cm apart, extremely uncomfortable pillows, mattresses in need of replacement, the bathroom shower door remained open, the shower head was like leaving a sink faucet running. The night's sleep was stressful, you could hear everything from one room to the next, practically the bathroom in the next room was like having it next to the bed, a real discomfort, and when you took a shower it felt like you were under a waterfall. We could tell by the walls whether a man or a woman was using the bathroom. The room cleaning didn't seem to be very good; I left a wooden toothpick on the floor next to the bed, and it remained there for 4 days until we left. The ski and boot storage was a 1x2m warehouse full of bags of laundry—sad. We stayed half board, which was almost sufficient."

"The hotel offers a friendly and accessible staff, a comfortable common room and a very clean room. This breakfast is especially welcome for the wide choice between sweet and salty and the quality of the products."

"A return trip to Tabor after being there for an end of season week last year which probably says a lot. Good value for money and good location. We had a back studio apartment this year on the ground floor which suited us better. A bit quieter round the back and no stairs for tired legs to have to climb. The free buses to the slopes are about 3 mins walk away and the main street about 1 min away. Apartment was nice and cozy at all times and well equipped although we ate out for all meals but good cooker , fridge and freezer available."

"Just had a great 5 night stay at Villa Linda. Frederica was so helpful with our booking. The apartment was spotless, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher. Fantastic shower. Powerful hairdryer, loads of towels and extra quilts. A few minutes walk from restaurants and easy to get the shuttle bus to the slopes. Would 100% recommend for a family ski break."

"La Nigritella is a cute, small hotel about ten mins walk away from the main ski lift at Campo Smith. It has room enough for 20 people, which worked perfectly as there were 20 of us on a recent ski trip to Bardo. It meant we were able to treat the hotel as a home away from home. The owner, Stefano, made sure we felt like we could treat the hotel as our own home and went above and beyond what could have been reasonably expected. For instance, on arrival, his dad gave one of party a lift into town to collect something. He sourced a cake for one of the kids when it was their birthday. He made sure breakfast was ready 30 mins earlier than billed so that we could get the kids to their lessons every day. The man is a superstar. In terms of rooms, they are small but very comfortable with nice bathrooms and plenty of storage. Nothing fancy, but this is a small family run hotel after all. The dining area is a nice size and was more than adequate for 20 of us. The walk is down hill in the morning and uphill in the evening. All I can say is it’s only ten mins and you definitely get to burn off all that cheese and bread from the mountain lunches! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Nigritella. It was homely, welcoming and extremely good value. Above all that though is the most amazingly helpful host in Bardo. Grazie Stefano. Jason"

"I recently stayed in this hotel during a ski trip with school. The hotel is located in a practical area: around 10 minutes from the centre of the town of Bardoneccia and approximately 5 minutes from the slopes. The hotel provides guests with a kit locker only a short distance from the slopes. Overall the facilities provided are satisfactory and there are many forms of entertainment in the evenings such as; quiz nights, film nights and karaoke. Meals are provided in the dining hall three times a day, in the form of an all you can eat buffet: the food being basic, but edible and there are many options including vegetarian choices. The rooms are a comfortable size, having up to five beds in them, as well as a bathroom equipped with a shower, bath, bidet and sink. The are many plug points located around the rooms as well as large wardrobes. WIFI is not provided in rooms but is available in the many communal areas such as; the bar, where you are free to buy drinks and snacks throughout the day and evening, the games room, the theatre and the dining hall. However.... The staff are often difficult to find in the huge hotel and some were unwilling or reluctant to help (on one occasion, a child from another travelling party vomited on the floor in the communal area - one child walked through it, another slipped and fell in it - when I attempted to inform a member of staff they replied that they weren't going to clear it up and referred me to the reception, who were as equally unhelpful,; when it was eventually cleared up it wasn't cleaned properly). The hotel security system is poor, young teenage girls were repeatedly harassed by adult males who continuously knocked on our doors and made us feel unsafe. Shower doors fell off in two rooms, which happened repeatedly depsite poor attempts to repair them. Just sitting on the bed caused the slats to collapse and the legs to bend inwards. Overall basic and just about bearable."
