"Excellent hotel. Stayed bed and breakfast during September and really enjoyed our time there. Beach is just.over the road, lots of restaurants nearby and the hotel bar and restaurant was reasonably priced. Hotel gym and pool were in great condition. Worth a stay"

"New facility in a great location (close to beaches, restaurants and other attractions). Daily room service, delicious breakfasts, a huge amount of food to choose from. Wonderful service of the entire hotel, especially the waiter named Ante- a very positive person who makes a smile immediately appear on the face! :) on the plus side of the presence of a swimming pool and spa zone in the facility, an ideal option after a whole day spent on the beach/city. We recommend!"

"nice hotel near the beach, some rooms are very comfortable, others a complete no go, I had to change rooms 3 times in 8 days. Friendly staff and very large breakfast buffet, nice terace , otherwise ok for a short vacation. To get around town and beaches is best to rent a scooter."

"Perfect accommodation for a family of 4 for a week’s holiday in Baška Voda. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The walk into Baska Voda and back up the hill was very pleasant, and the view of the mountains on the way back up is lovely. The main reason I wanted to leave this review however, was to highlight the amazing hospitality of the owner-managers of Ivana apartments. We had booked a scuba diving course in Makarska one morning, but the pre booked Uber didn’t show up and we found out about the cancellation at short notice. The owner rang around taxi companies for us and found someone who could pick us up and take us to Makarska in the nick of time. And then I stupidly left a small handbag in a drawer and didn’t realise until we were on the flight home. Again, the owners came to our rescue and advised us how to book a collection to return the items back to the UK. They packaged the items and messaged me to confirm when they had been collected. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great holiday, and I can’t thank them enough. Brilliant hosts. Lovely accommodation. And Baška Voda was beautiful, chilled and welcoming. We would love to visit again and would definitely return to Apartments Ivana."

"Stayed here for 12 nights. Location is excellent. Pool area outside great and everywhere very clean. Indoor pool and wellness area are great too. Room decor dated but again very clean. We booked a superior room but not sure it was any better than a basic one. Aircon in room worked well. Generally staff were efficient but not friendly, especially reception staff. When checking out no words were spoken at all. Aircon in communal areas not cold, especially dining room. At times unbearably hot. First few days were fairly quiet but very busy from 13th June. Not easy to find a table at dinner. Food average although quite a lot of choice. Definitely not worth 4*. Compared to the prices of other hotels (booked package) I think this wasn't too bad but as they say, you get what you pay for. We did have a great holiday but would rate hotel as a 3*."

House Topic ★★★

"I rented my room in House Topic for a week in September and I absolutely loved it. It was a beautiful apartment, everything was spotlessly clean. The room was very well furnished and the kitchen had more than everything you would ever need (with great appliances which were all also spotlessly clean), as was the bathroom which also had a small sized washing machine and a hairdryer. Everything was just as described in the listing. The owner was lovely and very friendly and more than helpful. She greeted me on arrival and called her daughter Mia who spoke with me on her mum's phone to help with translation and said I could phone her anytime for any information I may need. There was a little selection of English books on the landing outside the room considerately put there, as well as maps and taxi numbers and area information. The balcony was a good size (overlooking the sea) with table (easily big enough for 4-6 people), chairs and a sun lounger. I also spotted spare umbrellas to use in case of rain. There was also an ironing board and iron on the landing for use if needed. I can't praise House Topic and the lovely family enough. I would really love to return here but, sadly, looks very booked up already for next year, however I shall keep looking."
