The facility was better than expected and very clean and quiet (on the third floor). There is an elevator. Huge TV, but although other services were offered, you had to input your PW information, (which I wasn't willing to do), so you're stuck with regular cable stations, which were fine with us. Very cold A/C. Refrigerator was a little different and instructions not clear, but usable. Breakfast was provided and ample. Restaurant for dining within walking distance across the street (if you know how to dodge traffic). It's a good place to stay and I would stay again.
Coconut Cay Resort is one of the best lodging facilities that I have stayed at in the Keys. Our Room Attendant, Elizabeth, had our room well stocked and extremely clean, including the corners and behind the toilet. The office staff was welcoming and professional. The bagged breakfast was quaint and enjoyable. I would have given Coconut Cay Resort 10 stars if it was possible.
The stay is in little cottages, or bungalows, very cute. We loved and appreciated that our pups were allowed to stay with us! Since we had our pups with, we especially appreciated having our own cottage which made it a bit more private. This was a family trip so we had rented two cottages. Both of them were extremely clean and smelled very clean upon arrival. Each bed was made up very nice and we appreciated the all white bedding. Each cottage also had a kitchenette and small bathroom. We also enjoyed the tiki bar and food truck onsite.
I booked two rooms for our friends both rooms were clean and the location was nice but our room the tv did not work well we called three times over two days yet got no responce.the most disapointing part was the resort facilities were not open the pool bar we never saw open and the bar at the waters edge was only open twice we called and was told the bartender couldn’t make it. We found TJs down the road and spent some evenings at that resort. The breakfast was not enjoyed by anyone in our party. I cannot recommend this resort.
It was comfortable enough for the price, couple of things 1) we found beer caps in the drawer and under the bed....we dont drink beer. 2) the door could have locked more securely, it was a bedroom door as the outside door with a easily picked lock on it and a slide lock on the inside. With a large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, I dont know if you are aware of the 🦎 large lizards it was concerning. Everytime I heard a sound I jumped to look at the door. Lastly a rec area would have been nice, small table with a grill would have been great! Especially considering all the rooms dont have microwaves or kitchen areas. Over all we had a nice stay.
