"Location is stunning with plenty of outside space. Made very welcome on arrival. Room in the annex was nicely appointed comfort and quiet. The food was excellent with a varied menu including specials. All staff professional and friendly. Only stayed one night but will be sure to return."

"The ambience and setting was very good. Service was fine but the food was really not up to the standard we had expected. My husband's starter was supposed to be a crab fritter but was so overwhelmed by the accompanying gloop that you would not have known there was any crab there. My son's lamb was mostly fat which had not been properly rendered and there was very little meat in his portion. I mentioned these things to the receptionist as we were leaving but she did not apologise and seemed very blase about it. I wrote to the Ollerod to let them know but did not receive a reply. It was particularly disappointing as it was a significant birthday celebration."
