"We had such a good experience on the early morning bird walk ***** the canal and past the sugar cane fields. Chandra Shekar shared his deep knowledge of the natural environment. It was calm and peaceful and we saw so many birds. The highlight was seeing two Indian Rollers. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Great facilities and good food. "**Fraudulent Refund Delay and Misleading Conduct by Mr. Yousuf** I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Vijayshree Resort, and I feel compelled to share this so others don’t go through the same ordeal. At the time of booking, a very important detail was not disclosed to us — that the restaurant is strictly vegetarian. This lack of transparency felt misleading and dishonest, as it directly influenced our decision to stay. Had we been informed upfront, we would have reconsidered the booking entirely. What has made the situation far worse is the handling of the refund. It has now been over two months, and the amount of ₹25,000 — which is certainly not a small sum — is still not refunded. The manager, Mr. Yousuf, has repeatedly claimed that the money has already been transferred and that it would take time to reflect in our account. We trusted his words and remained patient, even when he mentioned he was unwell. However, this has now clearly crossed into negligence and unprofessional conduct. Constantly giving false assurances instead of providing proof of transaction or a clear timeline reflects very poorly on his ethics and attitude towards customers. It feels like deliberate delay tactics rather than a genuine effort to resolve the issue. I would also like to strongly urge the management to take this matter seriously. Allowing such behavior from a manager risks damaging the reputation of your business. Retaining individuals who fail to act with honesty and accountability can harm customer trust and ultimately spoil the goodwill you have built. Customer service here has been deeply disappointing — lack of honesty, poor communication, and zero accountability. A business that cannot handle refunds transparently and respectfully raises serious concerns about its integrity. I would strongly caution others before booking here. What started as a simple stay turned into a frustrating and exhausting experience, all because of poor management and lack of basic customer respect."

"We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The atmosphere was very pleasant, clean, and welcoming, making it a perfect place for families. It is especially great for kids, as there are plenty of activities and a safe, enjoyable environment for them to have fun. My children absolutely loved their time here and didn’t want to leave. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made our experience even better. "The first impression is not great; the road to the hotel is dirt at first, then some type of cobblestone. That impression changes quickly when you get to the entrance. The entrance looks like the entrance you would expect for a palace. On reaching the entrance, the security checked our name against the arrivals list, then a costumed colleague hit a big gong, and rose petals showered down from above. We proceeded to the hotel proper. At the covered entrance, a group of 4 met us with a diya, Jasmine flower garlands, and wished us welcome. A bellman unloaded our baggage and tagged it for delivery to our room. We were seated in the lobby, checked into the hotel, and provided with a welcome drink. We were then escorted to our room. From what I could tell, all guest rooms are on the 2nd floor. Great impression of the room, vibes of an old-time palace. The room was fully equipped with a modern bathroom; there is also a jacuzzi tub for individual or couples' use. We went down to the buffet restaurant to check about dinner, and asked about the other restaurant. The hostess took it as her mission to get us a table at the other restaurant, which requires reservations, then personally walked us over. First impression of customer service exceeded expectations. The food at both restaurants was excellent; the challenge was choosing from a big selection. In the morning we had breakfast, then met with the hotel historian who helped us plan out things to see in the Hampi area, including suggesting a schedule to visit the popular sights before the weekend crowds came into the area. In the evening, we again met with the historian who is also a naturalist, and went on a walk of the hotel grounds for bird watching, then the same in the adjacent nature reserve that is also part of the hotel grounds. The organized events included a talk by another historian about Hampi and the history of the area. We were at the Evolve Back Hampi Hotel for 3 nights; it was a great experience."
