"PROS: excellent location, short drive to PSU, brand new, comfortable. CONS: Front desk staff terribly under-trained. Breakfast was depressing compared to other TRUs I have stayed at. Parking lot spaces and aisles are so small it’s difficult to maneuver into a spot between other vehicles. BIGGEST CON: I booked and paid for 2 rooms in advance. After I checked out, an additional charge appeared on my statement as if I had booked a 3rd room. When I contacted the hotel, they couldn’t explain the charge but said the manager would return my call. Corporate couldn’t help at all. Trying to resolve it was incredibly frustrating. The undertrained front desk clerk should not have tried to argue with me about the charge they could not explain, the manager should have returned my call within 2 business days, or I should have been able to speak with a representative versed in billing. When I didn’t hear back from the manager after 3 days, I just did a chargeback through my bank since it was obviously an error."

"I read the reviews before we stayed here & noticed there weren't too many recent reviews so I wanted to write one. Stayed for one night while visiting my son who attends Penn State. It's around a 15 minute ride. The room was perfect. It was clean and looks like it was recently updated. It was quiet as far as noise in the area. The refrigerator was a bit noisy but we slept well enough. I felt it was a great value for the money. Would definitely stay here again. Interesting layout with the hotel being one room wide and having windows at both ends of the room. We had a room on the upper level."
