"It feels like a common American motel, with wooden rooms and poor sound insulation. Right next to the main road. We originally booked for four days, but after checking in on the first day, we found stains on the bed sheets. We couldn't stand it anymore and contacted Ctrip to cancel the next three days. For breakfast, we just went to the front desk office to get something and ate it in the room. The guy at the front desk was nice. I arrived at 10 o'clock and he checked me in early. He was very unhappy when he received the complaint later, but he probably felt that he had been good enough to me. I don't blame him, it's the hygiene and safety of the hotel that I really can't stand. The only advantage is the good location. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Berkeley University and there is a supermarket nearby. If the price is less than 100 US dollars, you can consider it, but if the price is close to 200 US dollars, the cost-effectiveness is too low."

"We spent 5 nights in around Christmas time when we were visiting a family member studying at UC Berkeley. It was conveniently located to visit the university. Since it was holiday season, we can't tell if it's always quiet, but we didn't hear any noise at night. The room was nice enough. Clean, well proportioned. We could cast Netflix from our phone. We didn't eat any meals there (the breakfast cafe was closed and the bar/restaurant was mostly closed). But one evening, we had two glasses of wine from the bar. It was served in the bar room, but they only had a wagon with open bottles of wine and plastic cups. It was shockingly expensive - we could easily buy a good bottle for the price of these two plastic cups (not even particularly generous). One other thing that bothered us was that they had a glass door to the bathroom. It was opaque enough so that we didn't see through it, but every time one of us used it at night, it brightened the whole bedroom. Also, whatever anyone did in the bathroom was very clearly audible from the bedroom. So, the best points for this hotel were location and reasonable price (for the room). Not for those who want luxury and comfort."
