"We booked a triple room, so a single bed was added to the room in advance. The room is on the first floor, and you can walk across the lawn to the sea! The waves on this side are relatively large, and you need to go to another place with a breakwater to swim. The price of the hotel is very affordable, and the included breakfast and dinner are also OK!"

"I had a pleasant stay at Cinnamon Bay Beruwala. The positive aspects include excellent service, starting from the warm welcome with a towel and juice at check-in, continuing throughout our stay until check-out. All the staff were friendly, kids activity center is a plus and the surroundings were very spacious and pleasant. The rooms were good, and I would definitely recommend their service, giving it a double thumbs up. On the downside, the reading light was broken, there were no bathroom slippers or robes, and the shampoo, lotion, and conditioner bottles were made of ceramic. If these ceramic bottles break, they could cause injury. I suggest that the hotel switch to safer materials for these items. Overall, I would rate our stay 3.8 out of 5. We really enjoyed our time there. If you're looking for excellent service in Beruwala, don't hesitate to book this hotel."

"This was my first experience of Ayurveda. I booked directly with the hotel and received very prompt responses to any queries I had. I stayed for a week, which was the last week of a month long trip to southern India and Sri Lanka so I was reasonably relaxed on arriving. I had a very nice suite with a lovely sea view. All the staff are fantastic, from the guard at the gate, to the reception staff, the waiting staff and the people who service the rooms. The pool area is lovely, the grounds are lush and it’s right beside the beach with soft golden sands. It’s also a short tuk tuk ride from a main train station which is handy if you don’t have your own transport and want to venture out e.g. to visit Galle. I didn’t especially enjoy some of the treatments, personally found them a bit oily. I hated the prescribed “medicines”; you could do better at describing what and why the various herbal concoctions and pills are being given. The food, although fresh, was somewhat disappointing. Every meal is a buffet, which gets boring very quickly. To be fair, the website states no red meat, seafood or cheese, and they are encouraging healthy eating - just don’t expect gourmet meals."

"I gave it here with my mother, wife and child. A quiet cozy place, kind hosts. Fresh fruits and coconuts were served every morning. the beach is a 5-minute walk away.Better places to relax with a child, a lot of local children. The owners were not expensive, and sometimes they helped with transport for free, took them to the store, hospital, excursions. Sumal is a great guy and very pleasant to talk to, like the whole family! Thank you very much!"

From the welcome, the beautiful clean room with new, beautiful furniture, the stylish interior, the delicious, hearty breakfasts, and the unforgettable beach area, completely private and with a good, safe entrance to the ocean. The hostess at this welcoming hotel speaks English, is always very polite, and knows how to create an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. I also want to mention that when I booked the hotel, I was kindly warned that a private house was being built nearby and there might be some noise, but believe me, I heard nothing for a week. The house is already built and there are just a few construction workers inside finishing something. We've stayed in many hotels, traveling every year, but not all hotels leave such pleasant memories as this one. I remember it with warmth and gratitude."
