"The whole experience at Chestnut Meadow Park was amazing, we had such a great time, the lodges are 10/10 with everything you need. From when we first walked in we were happy with the Lodges the rooms are comfortable and welcoming, decorated to a high standard. The hot tub was a lovely touch having access all day and early evening. The weather on Saturday didn't dampen our spirits we went into the trampoline park in Hastings and the kids had a lovely time then back to the park. There is a soft play on site but probably because of the weather it was booked, but this was fine it was nice to go off site and come back later to the local Chinese which was delicious. The office staff were friendly and very helpful replying to our messages straight away with advise and they even had an iron and ironing bord for us to hire for the weekend. My daughter's and their children were with me and I asked for lodges close to each other they were right next door, so helpful so the children were going back and forth with no stress or worry. There is nothing negative to say. We could not have asked for anything better and had a really lovely time, the children want to return next week ! We can't wait to look at dates, Thank you"

"Popped in for an afternoon drink in the bar, ended up booking a room ( we got lucky as they had one left!) and staying over for dinner. Everything was wonderful. Attentive, friendly staff. Fab food ( I had the fillet of sea bass) and a lovely large room with dual aspect sea views and a very comfy bed! Toiletries and plenty of tea/coffee in the room too. Good choice of breakfast options in the morning to finish off our little spontaneous stop over. Just top to tail perfect ."

"Lipstick and rouge. On initial checkin, it looked ok. But we first noticed a spider, then lots of spider webs on one light. After removing the spider, we figured the bed was a little lumpy but nothing major. First night was initially quiet until the flat above came back. You can hear everything above. Walking around like you were in the basement of a farm house, voices… everything. So second night came back, found two very large spiders on the walls (talking full grown half a baseball sized spiders) killed them. Then put in ear plugs to sleep for the night. Several times woken by the loud banging of what i think was the opening and closing of doors. Though im not sure, then, after being unable to get back to sleep, removed the ear plugs to hear snoring from the room above. For the price paid, expected far more from this property. If those are not issues for you, then your good. Otherwise, you might want to go elsewhere. It was located in the heart of the town… "

CBH The Relais Cooden Beach ★★★★
"I originally tried to book a sea view room, but unfortunately, they were unavailable at the time of booking. However, upon arrival, I was absolutely stunned by the room I was allocated. It was a lovely, cosy and quiet double room, very clean, with all the amenities I could have wished for, and the view, a seaview, was fantastic! The hotel is literally on the beach. The staff were wonderful. Very approachable and helpful, and the other guests were also friendly. The surrounding area is also a wonderful addition, should you wish to explore further afield. I can't wait to book my next stay. Hopefully for a bit longer next time:"

"The loveliest lodge, a proper home from home with all the amenities you could need, Complimentary essentials to get you started like washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, tea coffees etc. wonderfully comfortable sofas and beds, TVS in each room, and a lovely outdoor space with hot tub. Only downside if you have a dog, not fully enclosed garden area. ( i didnt take my pooch) shop on site was very limited in stock and no cafe as shown on map, however was impressed with variety of food trucks on site each day. Did get extremely hot in the lodge, I took my own fans as pre empted it might be in heat wave. Short drive to town and sea front. genuinely lovely stay. In addition I was a bit of a pain changing dates due to some personal crisis. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Makes all the difference. Good value for money in school holiday season, cleanliness was superb. We could barely hear any noise from neighbours from other lodges. will definitely stay again"

"Very nice room, especially the well-appointed bathroom, with a partial sea view. Our only disappointment was that we had confirmed a "king bed" and it isn't... it's only a large double bed. Good breakfast and very nice, helpful staff. Izzy helped us with heat in our room and the carpark across the street."

"Lipstick and rouge. Noisy, uncomfortable bed, shower changes from scalding to cold, to scalding. Spiders, cobwebs…. Generally over priced for what you get. Could hear the couple upstairs talking as if they were in our room. Woken up to stomping as they walked around in the morning and night. Avoid this place"
