Nrma Treasure Island Holiday Resort ★★★★

"Overall we enjoyed our holiday at Treasure Island resort but were very disappointed that the splash park was out of order for the entire duration. Travelling with 2 small children this was one of the primary reasons for choosing this resort. The main pool was good however although as with all areas of the park could do with general maintenance updates. There were very few loungers and most of those that were available were split / damaged. The spa pools were rough and uneven though heated to a lovely temperature.  The fencing around the tennis court was also in need of repair with sharp edges were the metal links had come away. The crazy golf, seating around the park, play parks etc were all looking tired and in need of update. We hired a bike / cart and the seating was loose and felt in need of maintenance.  Our unit was a more basic one which we were expecting. It was very clean however and the housekeeping staff were great and very helpful. We did see roaches in the unit so pest control would be appreciated.  The kids club staff were friendly.  Location is good with only a 5 minute drive to the coast and walking distance of shops, restaurants and takeaways."

"Apartments not serviced . Rooms dated and need renovating. Quite pleased with room except bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows need changing. Soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in small travel containers. I would stay here again if they updated bedding."

The Atrium Resort ★★★★

"Looking at the sea. The facilities are average, not particularly modern nor particularly nostalgic. It's quite clean. In the kitchen there are a large number of mites. The shower with the jacuzzi toilet is better than nothing, the water is very runaway, the shower took more than double the time. Also see other units have 2 degree doors, I live in this one only one degree door, a bit unsafe. TVs are not smart TVs, only Gold Coast stations can watch."

"Convenient locations. Near shops and little cafes. Pleasant stretch of beach out front. The unit needs some updating including better stove , dishes , couch. TV worked fine for casting. Pls replace the plunger coffee pot. Two level place. Two balconies. View towards pool and spa pool from kitchen window. Couldn’t get the AC/heater inverter to work in the living room. The one in the bedroom works, but has a rattle . Blankets and light quilt could use a good cleaning pls. We checked in after hours, and got in easily enough. We were there for the Gold Coast Marathon. Would have been more convenient if we had 2 separate keys etc (but we didn’t get around to asking if available). Elevator needs work - with the doors sometimes opening and closing 4 or 5 times before going up. Parking garage was convenient . Did not see any Welcome Pack as per description in the paper given to us. No milk for the first night for example. There were some old packs of coffee and tea on the counter. Laundry machine looks new. Shower was fine and a little bottle of shampoo/conditioner was provided. We could hear other rooms from time to time but not noisy. I would like to see a better lock on the door aside from the simple door knob one. In fact, a staff member started walking in one day without knocking - which was improper. He didn’t knock but mumbled something about thinking we had not checked in (yet we had checked in the night before). I I think I read about that problem in another review below. Best a guest’s privacy and security is assured pls. Seemed very weird…no knocking and all. We had booked late for the Gold Coast marathon… not sure if we would book again… good for a quick average stay I suppose. There was a double bed, and 2 single beds and a small sofa. The 2 single beds are jammed in at the top of the stairs, in the room next to the bedroom. We stayed for 2 nights."
