Fran the manger could not have been more accomodating. Super clean rooms, comfortable beds and a great meal at the restaurant made for an excellent stay. The Black Rock inn is in a super central location and I would highly recommend booking if you are headed to Blackwater."

"Had a buffet on, food warm to room temp. Advised staff who liked at bain, paddled their hands in it but didn't actually turn the bain marie up, it was only on 53°C 😣 Hard to enjoy a meal when swatting at flies constantly due to all doors being open because of ventilation issues in kitchen. Can't eat in the dining room, get smoked out. We keep trying the local and keep being disappointed. "

"The room was clean and the linen fresh. The bed was comfortable and pillows ok. The bathroom is of a good size, in need of a renovation, but clean. We would have felt more secure with a chain on the door. The restaurant was closed when we were there. We were sent a text with a link so we can fill out a form the day before our stay. I called, we will not click on links. We were then sent a text with our room number and key code. There was no human contact during our stay. Gen Z and A might like no human contact, but not those of us who are of the dying generation."
