"The location is next to the beach which s good for vacation. The wellness spa gives you relax and the indoor swimming pool . The breakfast is really good and lots of choices. Only the elevator is a bit busy and small."

"I received the check-in and booking confirmation by email. However, my credit card payment was declined... I didn't see it. I was convinced I had paid. I still don't understand why. I wasn't notified, and it was only when I called to let them know my arrival time that I found out about everything. So I paid in cash on arrival. If the room had been re-let, I wouldn't have been notified and would have been left out on the street at 9 pm, ugh! A single towel, only 30cm x 60cm, to dry off after the shower... Shaggy sheets and a smelly duvet... 3rd floor with no elevator... It's dirty and old-fashioned, with absolutely no charm. Truly disgusting. Avoid at all costs."

That said, 330 euros a night for a place in Barlos like Blankenberge is outrageous! The weather wasn't great, as usual... Add to that the exorbitant restaurant and bar prices, and never again!"

"This hotel was a disappointment from start to finish; how this can be rated four-star is unfathomable. Our room had visible mould in the corner and around the balcony door. The overall condition of the room felt tired and worn, with parts of the furniture and tapestry already peeling away. The shower pressure was extremely weak, making it impossible to shower properly, and the bathroom radiator was rusty. Dust and dirt had clearly accumulated under the bed and in the corners, suggesting that cleaning standards were lacking. Breakfast was acceptable, but the selection was limited and it was very busy. The roll choice included only white bread rolls, and the choice of cheese was very small. The scrambled eggs were good. The only positive aspect was that we were able to change rooms upon arrival, as the original room overlooked a neglected and unattractive backyard. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, particularly the breakfast team. Unfortunately, there were several other shortcomings and problems. Elements which are mandatory to include in a four-star standard were missing. The hotel has no restaurant, the minibar fridge was switched off and contained a pool of brown liquid inside, and no bathrobes or slippers were provided. The hotel bar also felt uninviting and lacked atmosphere. The spa area was equally disappointing. Guests were provided with small hand towels rather than proper spa towels and were apparently expected to use only one. The loungers could not be adjusted, meaning you had to lie completely flat at all times. Parking costs €30 per day/night for an open-air parking lot located about 100 metres away. When we returned to our car, it was covered in bird droppings. Overall, this was far below the standard we would expect from a four-star hotel. We do not understand some of the good ratings on online platforms. We will definitely never return."

"A very clean and spacious studio certainly large enough for our family of four. More than enough storage space. Very easily accessible with the coast tram at just four minutes from the centre. Surely a recommender!"
