House Boats in Srinagar

Host was very welcoming and got a heritage houseboat. In-spite of the re-decor, the houseboat was left wanting of essential needs like working plug points, electricity backup, heating facility etc. Food quality and variety needs to be improved. Overall a one night experience is all that one can spend on such houseboats.

Nice Houseboat

Houseboat stay were excellent. Rooms were spacious, living room dining and deck are well maintained and decorated. It's a must stay if u are visiting srinagar. I would recommend atleast 2 days stay at this property. Only 1 issue is they don't serve al carte menu and you need to order for entire group at buffet rates which i felt was on higher side.

Not cleaned, bed sheet dirty, same as blanket, no electricity in morning, no hot water. Terrible experience

The stay was good, the owner family are very nice and welcoming the customer. You will take boat at port to reach for the boathouse. Very special experience. Overstay is quote good, the view is also amazing. The only thing is that there is no hairdryer and hot water is available in the limited timing (maybe only summer. And since it’s a boathouse you may heard the movement from next door easily. But the overall experience is quite unique and good. We had tea time with owner family. It will be difficult to get food outside, but host can prepare dinner and breakfast with extra charge. The food is also quite good. The shopper will also come in boathouse to sell the staff, special shopping experience. From sunset to night, the view beside the lake is also awesome. Overall it’s a good experience.

The location is on a river (not on the big lake), only 8 meters away from the other side of Xing, you don't have to choose if you want to see the beautiful scenery of the big lake. Sell the itinerary as soon as you arrive, Rs500 for two hours to see the two gardens (nothing to look at). Wash a piece of clothes Rs50. Go to the veg market in the morning to charge Rs800/2 hours. The room is not locked, and the boss said he believes he does not need to lock it. Ha ha.
