A spacious main room is built around the granite-faced wood-burning fireplace with French doors that open directly out to the Big Lake. Each of its 2 bedrooms has its own, private spa-like bath, complete with deep soaking tub. Outside, the charm is in full force … Not only is WoodSong's patio a stone's throw from Lake Superior's lapping waves, but it also has a lake-side covered porch. Repurposed from an original, historic North Shore fish house — one of the few that remain standing from that bygone era — time with coffee, wine, and friends is about as close to North Shore ecstasy as it gets! Painted Rock sits perched on a quaint spit of Lake Superior ledge rock, halfway between Lutsen and Grand Marais on the edge of Cascade River State Park. This historic log cabin has been fully restored to retain all its original charm and history of bygone days, while updated with all the modern amenities. An unusually large Main Room is home to a wood-burning fireplace, dining table, game table, and picture windows that bring the Big Lake indoors in all seasons. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and its private entrance directly onto the deck allows guests to fall asleep to the soothing sound of gently lapping waves. The bathroom is outfitted in spa-like fashion, with an oversized deep-soaker tub and heated floors. With a 2nd bedroom, also outfitted with a queen bed,, Painted Rock can comfortably sleep 4 adults. Bring the whole family to this true Farmhouse! My husband and I bought my grandpa’s house on my family farm and we want to share it with you. This spacious newly remodeled house with a large kitchen and dining area, an open concept that is great for large groups and big families. A master bedroom with a king bed, master bathroom has a large shower and you can even take a soak in the cattle stock tank bathtub. Second full bathroom on the main floor with a large shower too. On the lower level the bunk room will be a huge hit! With 3 twin beds, 2 double beds it makes for a fun nights sleep! Across the hall you’ll find a large bedroom with two queen beds and a small sitting area. This bedroom had its own large bathroom with a shower. Washer and dryer as well on lower level of the split level home. If you love the country, absolutely beautiful views and animals this is definitely the spot for you! Experience the sites sounds and smells of a working farm. Tractors, cows, pigs and hard-working farmers can be found everywhere, everyday on this property! You will hear cows mooing, pigs squealing and calves calling for mom, tractors working, dirt bikes and four wheelers driving around, kids playing and me calling In the cows in for milking time. These things will differ depending on the time of year you come and stay with us. Enjoy beautiful places to take walks, we even have access to a river canyon with waterfalls that you can hike to. Come join me in the barn at milking time, you can even milk a cow! The farm is about 10 minutes away from down town Grand Marais! The kitchen provides a granite island with bar stools and is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. The kitchen/dining/living area boast a floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace - just a great place to kick back and relax. The bathrooms include a walk-in tiled shower on the upper level and a tub/shower combination on the main level. The exterior of the cabin consists of two outdoor living areas - a partially covered wrap around porch accessible from the main living area with gas grill and outdoor dining table for your enjoyment AND a large covered balcony off of the upper level bedroom...perfect for star gazing. The stars are absolutely incredible here! In the quiet of the night, you can even hear the falls....serenity and peace! Other amenities include heated floors, central air, granite counter tops, silhouette blinds on all of the windows, high speed internet, WIFI, satellite TV and location.....only a short distance up Ski Hill Road off of Highway 61.The driveway offers plenty of room for parking providing a circular drive for easy in and out for trailers. Newly built house located in Lutsen, MN. Great for families and large groups! Lots of space to kick back and relax and enjoy what Lutsen has to offer! Near Lutsen Mountain Ski Resort (9 minute drive), Superior National Golf Course (8 minute drive), hiking and snowmobile trails and much more!A few things to note: we are located about 2 miles inland from Lake Superior. This house is a new build and we haven't had a chance to complete any landscaping yet (there's concrete patio behind the house).You will have the entire home during your stay which has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. 2 bedrooms are located on the main level and 3rd is located in the loft (please note the loft is not fully enclosed and overlooks the living room/kitchen so noise is able to travel easily from that area). King bed located in each bedroom on the main level. The loft also has 2 king beds as well as a pull out sofa bed for additional sleeping space. There are 3 twin sized foldable beds also on site. You will have your own fully stocked kitchen. Lots of natural light and great spaces to lounge and relax during your stay!This place has the ability to sleep up to 12 guests but the space may be most comfortable with 8-10 adults or less. That is why we call it Ski Hill Basecamp!After your days of adventure, your family and friends can relax at this beautiful property, with spaces to gather together and room to spread out. The kitchen, BBQ grill, and dining area are perfect for eating in. In the summer months, the porch, dining deck, large yard and fire pit will keep the fun going. In the winter, enjoy the winter fire pit (weather permitting) or cuddle up on the deep, comfy couch for a fire and movie. The layout is 2 bedrooms (both with king beds) and 2 bathrooms on the main level, and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the upper level.While the immediate area is literally fulI of fun things to do (did we mention a gondola, alpine slide, and winery?), we are only 5 minutes to Oberg Loop, 15 minutes to both Temperance River and Cascade River State Parks, and 20 minutes to Grand Marais.Please note that this home is located on Ski Hill Road close to Hiway 61. This provides unbeatable access to area destinations but does mean it is a less peaceful location. For security, the property has 1 exterior camera on the driveway and front door.
