Big Nate is a 4 bedroom cabin with 2 full kitchens and 2 living rooms and 2400 sq ft of space. He is the bear who will greet you at the door. There are also 5 bathrooms in Big Nate for your convenience and privacy. The terrain is an easy slope for walking and a great place for kids to play. We have a seesaw and horse swing for the younger kids and horse shoes for the older kids. Big Nate has its own separate boat dock and a ramp to put your boat in the water. We have a 15 ft trampoline with a slide and launch. You can fish off the boat docks or just lay around and swim. There is a fireplace with shed and a firepit to sit around at night. There is lots of space to have your family outings. The Tree House Lodge is a unique mountain style log home with soaring 25 feet vaulted ceilings, a native stone fireplace, and all wood floors and ceilings. The main level has two luxurious bedrooms with an adjoining full Jack and Jill bathroom. Each bedroom on the main level has private access to the wrap around deck and hot tub just outside your door. This level, as well, has a fully equipped kitchen, stove with air fry oven, refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, hand built knotty pine cabinets, corian counter tops, and a beautiful copper backsplash. There is a screened in porch off of the king bedroom where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or beverage while hearing the relaxing sounds of nature and the babbling creek. The living room has a wraparound leather sofa, a cozy propane fireplace that is lit by simply turning the timer as you sit and watch your favorite show/movie on the 4 K Smart TV with Blu Ray DVD player. The lower level has two luxurious bedrooms as well, with a unique rustic style full bathroom. It also has a game room with regulation size slate billard table, air hockey table, and theater style area with a 65" smart television where you can watch your favorite show or movies on satellite or Netflix. There is a laundry room off of the king bedroom on bottom level with stackable washer and dryer. All bedrooms have a flat screen TV. The mountain lot is wooded with a creek at the back of the property. When you are on the deck, the tops of the large trees are within reach, making one feel that they are truly in a treehouse. The Tree House Lodge is conveniently located within minutes to Lake Chatuge, Bell Mountain, and Brasstown Bald-which is the highest mountain in Georgia. The lodge is also close to horseback riding, golfing, and is 3 miles from the Appalachian trail, 30 minutes from Helen, etc.. Or you can take a day trip through the great smoky mountain national park to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherokee on to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where there are numerous activities such as Dollywood, shopping at one of the many outlet malls or stores, wildlife touring through Cades Cove etc.. We are continuously upgrading the space. We have added new flooring and paint throughout and installed granite countertops in the kitchen and master bedroom. We also added new stained tung and groove ceilings and accented the master bedroom and breakfast bar with tung and groove as well. In addition, we added stairs, a walkway and a lower level to the gazebo where there is excellent privacy for the new hot tub. Most recently we've added a new observation deck with arbor and swing, and upgraded furnishings. New apple trees and blueberry bushes will soon provide seasonal fruit for guests.There is covered parking for one vehicle and room for three additional vehicles as well. You will appreciate the convenience of the Ingles Market at the bottom of the hill with a Starbucks, deli, bakery and excellent produce and meat departments, and the gentle drive to and from the property on well maintained roads.
