Facilities: This hotel, renovated 25 years ago, has clean facilities. Service: On the first day of my stay, I added the front desk's WeChat, which was like having 24-hour concierge service. The service was exceptionally good. There's a difference between saying you'll do something and actually doing it, and they did both, with great communication among staff. All the staff members were very polite.

This is a newly opened hotel, and the hygiene is excellent. It's very close to the airport, and getting to attractions by taxi isn't far either, making transportation incredibly convenient. They also have a dedicated gym and laundry room, which are very handy to use. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. This will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Xiamen! 👍

I highly recommend the Mowgli City Tancheng Hotel! It's super close to the Devil's City (Wuerhe Ghost City), making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The Western-style architecture creates an amazing atmosphere, and there are photo opportunities everywhere within the resort. The rooms are clean, spacious, and decorated with a full Xinjiang ethnic flair. The staff are warm and attentive, even proactively sharing tips for exploring the scenic area. The facilities are comprehensive, including a parking lot and EV charging stations, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of options. This was a super restorative night during our road trip through Northern Xinjiang – definitely the top choice when visiting Wuerhe!

The room is spacious, the decoration is simple and atmospheric, and the texture is very good. Equipped with a small voice control, the lights and curtains can be operated by voice, very smart. The independent cloakroom is particularly intimate, bathrobes, hangers, slippers are all prepared, and it is very convenient to put luggage and clothes. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, there is a smart toilet, and the toiletries are complete. The twin bedding is soft, the thick blackout curtain is very soundproof, and the rest is quiet. The room has a small refrigerator, a kettle, and complete facilities. The sanitary details are in place, the service is good, the stay experience exceeds expectations, and I will come next time!

The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the Ancient Town, making getting around super convenient. The courtyard is elegantly landscaped—a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. From the rooftop, you can enjoy panoramic views of the ancient town and gaze at the snow-capped mountains. The staff were warm and attentive. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, with thoughtful extra touches: steam eye masks were provided, the disposable face towels at the vanity were fantastic, and the complimentary tea was delicious.

There were plenty of activities to enjoy, including afternoon tea, DIY pour-over coffee, and complimentary red wine to take home. We also participated in Dongba culture workshops and interacted with sika deer. The hotel offers airport pick-up and drop-off services and even gave us tea souvenirs upon check-out. The entire experience was wonderful; I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and stay here again next time I visit Lijiang.

Parking might be a bit tricky, so for those driving, be sure to coordinate with your butler in advance.
