Its best feature is its location, steps from the beach. However, it's a hotel that has been downgraded; some rooms and hallways are in dire need of maintenance. I didn't realise the pool area no longer belonged to the hotel, which was a disappointment. I feel the price is high compared to other places with more amenities and more modern facilities. Breakfast was average as well.

I stumbled upon this hotel on Trip.com and decided to spend a night here to enjoy the sunrise and beach at Surfers Paradise. We booked a deluxe ocean view room, and luckily, we were on the 19th floor with an amazing view of the entire Pacific coast! Waking up at 6 AM, we got to witness a truly spectacular sunrise!

The room was spacious and well-equipped. The most pleasant surprise was finding a dishwasher and an induction hob. They thoughtfully provided beach towels, which were perfect for our trips to the beach. It's only a 7-minute walk to Surfers Paradise, making the location super convenient. The room also had a small balcony, which was very comfortable for breakfast.

The hotel also has a swimming pool, and we saw many families enjoying it. There's a gym too, which we used, complete with a sauna and steam room.

The only minor drawbacks were that we couldn't find the TV remote control all night, and there wasn't enough toilet paper or air conditioning in the room. However, it didn't spoil our holiday mood at all!

The Mantra Sun City was a great place to stay, close to central Surfers.  Just a short walking distance to cafes and restaurants and opposite the beach. The two bedroom department was very spacious. The lounge had stunning floor ceiling windows with great views of the ocean and a connecting balcony that went along the side of the apartment, the balcony also had stunning views. The balcony was also accessible by both bedrooms. 

The master bedroom being the last bedroom in the apartment which was private. It had its own ensuite and walk in wardrobe. There was an additional bathroom with laundry facilities and it had a full kitchen. 

The ground floor pool is large and a great place to hang out with lots of sunbathing lounges to use m, it even has a mini sand beach and water slides. There is a downstairs restaurant.

The room was quite spacious and even had a washer and dryer, though it felt a bit outdated. However, the sea view was absolutely stunning.

The hotel is within 10 minutes walk from the coastal beach. We booked the two-bedroom and one-washroom and gave the 27th floor of the tower3. Every room and living room can see the sea view, which is very good. Downstairs is the supermarket, there are many restaurants nearby, and the bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. It is very convenient. Kitchen utensils are readily available and it is convenient to cook for yourself. The only downside is that the toilet is not well ventilated.

Had a mini break for the weekend on surfers and absolutely cannot fault the location of this hotel!! Free parking too made it easy to park and forget about the car got the weekend!! Staff were friendly and although the room was a bit outdated, it did the job for family of 4 (2bed) Room needed a clean as there were still crumbs in the couch cracks and bathroom had a few hairs left. But I’d definitely return. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for use of the pool and facilities, but there were lots of people in the indoor pool and gym!! Loved this place!!!

Advantages: The location of the apartment is very good, only a 3-minute walk from Suffers Paradise . Below the apartment is the mall, with supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping streets. The room we were assigned can see the coast and the sunrise is very beautiful!

Disadvantages: The overall hardness of the apartment is old, the carpet is not very clean, and the sheets are stained.
The wifi connection attached to the room cannot be used, and the phone in the room is faulty. If there is any lack, you have to go to the front desk of the next building to ask, which is too inconvenient.

The hotel is beautiful, pool, grounds and spotlessly clean. The staff were really helpful (especially the English girl), not far to walk from town and harbour. Bedding and towels immaculate, they even supplied beach/pool towels. Our only concern was that there was a bit of maintenance work going on as end of season which was noisy and the pool bar wasn’t well stocked, and we’d have loved some eggs at breakfast as sourdough and guacamole was provided!! We were offered a reasonably priced upgrade and allowd to keep our room a couple hours longer that 10am on departure. Overall we loved relaxing by the pool, and think the price reflected the very minor issues.

We stayed as a couple in late December, just after Christmas. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the shared swimming pool area on the ground floor. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the lovely reception staff, who showed us the room details. The room featured a spa tub on the balcony, which we enjoyed. However, the hotel itself felt a bit outdated and old-fashioned. While the room was reasonably comfortable, we noticed some wear and tear, like chipped and scratched surfaces in the bathroom amenities and signs of overall poor maintenance. Also, the spa tub was not well-cleaned, with visible dirt and mould in the crevices, which was disappointing. Overall, while the staff were welcoming and the room had its enjoyable aspects, the lack of upkeep in the facilities detracted from our experience.

Spacious, perfectly appointed down to an excellent tea box. No cable but tv offered large choice of music. The Jazz was right on. Quality furniture and bed. Comfy pillows of choice. Lovely tub. And next door to Mocky's. Best pie shop in town.

A hotel searched on the Internet, the facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, the price is good, the quality is good, the port is very close to the port of Douglas, the surrounding food and beverage supermarkets are all available, the whole is value-for-money, satisfactory. However, as a high-scoring hotel, there is still a gap in service. I haven't cleaned the room for two nights. Indeed, I have come back for a day, and I haven't moved in the room. I wonder if there is a rule to live without having to clean it? It doesn't matter, it's okay to clean up. I just told the front desk in advance that I had to leave the store at 7.30 in the morning of the second day, but the next morning at 7.30, the front door and window of the reception hall were closed, no staff on duty could be found, no one answered the phone... The luggage was taken down, and It is inconvenient to throw it and then send the room card to the room. In desperation, the room card is stuffed from the door seam, and the reservation customer service is sent to inform the check-out email...  The result is unknown. Fortunately, I only brushed a 10-knife credit guarantee when I checked in. It doesn't matter if I can't retreat...

The best thing of this hotel is providing free pick up and drop off from and to the airport.

Coming from overseas without Aussie phone no is not a problem. Just go to the information counter and tell the staff about the free pick up service and they will help to call and then will tell you where to wait. 

The waiting area is very near to the information counter and easy to find.

The breakfast was exceptionally delicious, truly the richest I've ever had. Parking was $10, which isn't too expensive. The room was clean and tidy, and the view was great. It's a proper, well-run hotel!

A refurbished older style hotel with a lot more charm than the plain vanilla version of Mantra you find elsewhere. Rooms are super roomy and definitely enough to do yoga or whatever you feel fancy.  Shame the gym closes early around 9pm though there are plenty of great eating options nearby like Tipo 00 and Movida

very nice location, walkable distance nearly to all spot in city center , close to train and tram station, lots of good food and cafe nearby. 5mims walk to nearby woolworths . the hotel is spacious and clean. 

however , beware theres no clean up throughout the whole stay (6days)

Location: Very good, right next to Chinatown, within walking distance to all downtown locations. Restaurants across the street open until 2am .

Staff：It was full when I checked in.There is a small problem (personal reason)BuBut the staff at the front desk (all of whom are super awesome) have been helping and working hard to solve the problem, and in the end, I stayed very comfortably.

Facilities: There is a gym and an indoor swimming pool, but I haven't tried them.

Food: The snail noodles （螺狮粉） across the street are really delicious, and the grilled skewers are also good. I feel really happy. The quantity is huge.

Pretty good hotel for the price.  It’s one stop outside of the free tram zone, but it’s a quick walk across the bridge to town.  Front desk staff are super nice, and helped me charge my phone and laptop, because the room does not have any usb plugs, and there were no travel adapters available.

Great motel next to a trackside stadium for horse racing and a great restaurant for meals and drinks. The room was really spacious with a bathtub and I’ve really enjoyed my stay there.

It seems the room has not been cleaned thoroughly. There is still dust in several areas, and the kitchen , oven and refrigerator do not appear very clean, as if they were not wiped properly. It also feels like the cleaning was done a little hastily, as I had to request garbage bags, dish soap, and cloths from reception. In addition, when the towels were replaced, they were not arranged neatly but left in a pile, which did not look very organized.
