Siju PuthethThe front desk and facilities staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. I was pleasantly surprised that early check-in was accommodated without any issues, as my flight arrived ahead of schedule. The room was clean and well-equipped, offering slippers, tea/coffee, a dental kit, shaving kit, sewing kit, shoe polish, soap, and several other thoughtful amenities.
I was also informed that the gym and swimming pool were available for guest use. Early check-out was conveniently arranged to align with my early morning departure. Additionally, they offer the option to pack breakfast if notified in advance, which is a great touch.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. An added bonus is that the hotel is within walking distance of Sharjah Airport, making it a highly convenient choice for travelers.

We stayed for 2 weeks in late January 2026 and had a very good time at Marbella Resort. I was cautious when making a booking due to controversial reviews on various sites. Some customers seemed to be concerned with such issues as cleanliness, insects or even geckos in rooms, staff attitude and lack of soundproof between rooms. Fortunately, we had no issues of that kind at all. Upon our late arrival we got Master Suite 3701 on the ground floor of 2 floor villa.
Summary of things we liked:
- An opportunity to occupy part of a villa with your own patio close to nice waterfront / promenade for a very reasonable price (by UAE standards of course) is unbeatable
- Master Suite (living room with sofa, kitchen area, bedroom) was of a decent size for 2 adults with a kid
- Hotel has a pool which seems to be ok though we preferred to use the pool in Holiday International (just 2-3 min from our villa) which was warm in January and had kid’s section with just 58 sm in depth
- Hotel has a small playground for kids and there is another one in Holiday International
- There are 2 amusement parks within 20 min walking distance from the hotel (Al Montazah and AlMajaz) which is perfect when you have a small kid
- No noise from neighbors, according to reception we had soundproof doors between rooms which seems to be true. Not sure if all villas have these
- Reception staff was always polite and helpful
- Beds were comfortable
- Bed linen and towels were fresh enough
- Cleaning was ok most of the time
- No insects (even mosquitoes) or geckos
- Breakfast in Holiday International was ok though quite crowded and not much daily changes
- Washing machine in room, large fringe, microwave, 2 TVs (which we never used)
- Four bottles of drinking water provided every day
- Nice Spinneys supermarket is just 5 min by feet
- WiFi was better than expected
Summary of shortcomings:
- 2 floor villas are attached to hotel parking so we had cars parking in front of our kitchen window which we preferred to keep open for ventilation instead of aircon (January is not a hot month in UAE). Fair to say we had no issues neither with other guests parking nor with a street noise. You need to mind though that laud praying starts in nearby mosques around 5.30 am
- I was puzzled by the fact that bedroom had another door instead of a window which can be opened to get some fresh air. Of course UAE is a low crime area but still you won’t leave the door open especially at night. Having a small window with mosquito net in bedroom would be great
- Aircon was rather noisy. We rarely had to switch it on though of course you would have no choice in hotter months
- Threshold separating shower from the rest of the bathroom is not sufficient and most bathroom gets wet when you take a shower. Typical problem in many hotels which can be solved literally for $1-2
- Couple of times cleaning staff have ignored our room for the morning cleaning. Fair to say when I brought this issue to reception they came in 5 min to do the job
- They have induction stove in room but no pot or pan to cook so we had to use microwave all the time
- Although hotel is well placed right on a beautiful promenade there is no direct access to it from hotel grounds and you need to walk 5-7 min to get to waterfront
- Local beach is about 10-15 min drive, but my kid was happy with the pool in Holiday International so we never tried shuttle service provided by the hotel. Winter sea in UAE is chilly anyway
- Generally Sharjah is a less fancy and much more conservative compared to Dubai while hassle free visiting Dubai is by taxi (public transport links are quite weak) which is rather costly (though local taxis seem to be cheaper compared to Dubai). So, Sharjah is ok for family vacations but not for entertainment or shopping.

I booked the room at the very last minute, and when i checked in i wasnt expected that i was upgraded to the club room. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the most important thing is the reception knew my flight is at the night so she made a late checkout for me when checking in, nice place to stay and nice view

Disappointed with management response despite otherwise pleasant stay
I have been a regular guest at this hotel and usually enjoy my stays here, but this time I was truly disappointed by the way my situation was handled.
Due to unusual circumstances, I couldn’t check in on the first night of my reservation. I had already contacted both the hotel and the booking website before the check-in date, requesting either a free cancellation, a refund for the first night, or an extension for one more night. Unfortunately, both the hotel and the website refused all options. As a result, I lost one night and three meals, since my booking was on a half-board basis. I was expecting more flexibility and understanding, especially as a returning guest.
Other than that, my experience at the hotel was generally positive.
• The staff were courteous and professional, especially in the restaurant — Mr. Shah Qinar stood out for his exceptional communication skills and helpful attitude.
• Housekeeping on the 6th floor was excellent — everything was tidy and well-maintained throughout my stay.
• Breakfast buffet offered plenty of choices and the food quality was quite good. However, the coffee quality and milk used in the machine were below the standard expected from a normal outside café.
• The room lighting was on the dim side with no option to brighten it, which made the room feel darker than comfortable.
• On the positive side, the bedding, blankets, and pillows were very comfortable, and having free parking beside the hotel was a great convenience in a congested area like Al Majaz.
Overall, while I appreciated the good service from the staff and comfort of the stay, the lack of flexibility and empathy from management regarding my situation has left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to this hotel.

Amir AbdRoom is spacious and value for money but the pillows are quite old and too soft. Breakfast was generally good with good variety of options. Layout of hotel not very appropriate to host larger family groups. Staff are quite flexible and eager to assist. Tried asking for late checkout but was only given about 30 mins extra rather than the typical 1hr

The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Dubai Airport, but it's actually in the Emirate of Sharjah, about 10 kilometers from the airport. While not far, traffic can be heavy in the mornings and evenings. It seems to have been a Ramada hotel previously. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, but the decor is a bit dated as the hotel has been around for some years. Breakfast is quite varied. Overall, if booked in advance, it offers good value for money.

Sauna and pool are available, but it is quite a strange arrangement. Not as friendly as international standards. Local culture? Fantastic Ramadan buffet dinner, as well as a very good breakfast selection. Definitely worth the money

This wasn't my first stay at this hotel and I continue to appreciate the excellent location, food, and service. The daily housekeeping kept my room very clean. The only minor issue was that the room was a bit dim due to the window facing a neighboring building. Perhaps brighter lighting within the room could enhance the ambiance. Overall, I would recommend this hotel

Guest UserLower your expectations! This is simply the cheapest option if you’re looking for a place close to SHJ. Otherwise, the experience was quite disappointing.
The room I booked didn’t have a kettle or an iron as listed on the website. The bathroom’s “warm” water was yellow, with sand and dirt coming from the sink. I asked them to fix it, but they preferred to move me to another room, which had the same issue, just a lighter shade of yellow. I couldn’t take a proper shower or even wash my face.
The TV was broken, and when it did work, there were only three channels, a broken remote, and poor signal. The internet was okay, but not fast.
On the positive side, the staff were kind and helpful. The receptionist also allowed a late checkout (2 hours extra), which I appreciated. However, there was a strange smell in the hallways, likely from nearby Indian food.
I would only recommend this place for a very short stay if you’ll be out most of the day and just need a bed and air conditioning.
