"We stayed during autumn on a 4WD trip with a group of about 30. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating for the large group. Great wine, good food, lots of parking. Rooms were large and well appointed. Great pillows and sheets! Loved all of the hooks over the heater for toasty towels and jackets for those cold mornings."

Nrma Bright Holiday Park

"We have stayed at the park for many years and have always enjoyed it until this year. The amenities and run down, dirty, unfinished and in disrepair. The fans wouldn't work in the camp kitchen and the doors would slide open due to the amount of dirt in the tracks. The floor hadn't been sweep or mopped in days. There is no lighting at night time if walking back from the street. The poleholes are the size of craters, our cabin sliding doors wouldn't slide or lock, the curtains were filthy and falling off the rail. There was mould inside and outside of the shower and on the blinds, there's a large crack in the bathroom basin. The fan switches don't have knobs to turn them on safely, the security light didn't work. Management were extremely unpleasant and rude. Great location but unfortunately this park has declined a lot in the last couple of years and extremely overpriced."

"Great stay for 3 night. Warm fire, cozy lounge, good room, and it was like the snow was ordered for us! Staff member Maya is a honey, friendly, polite, helpful and is a model staff member. Meals are good, definitely recommend the Beef Cheek! Mulled wine is a winner on those chilly days!"

There was no housekeeping during our stay- room wasn’t cleaned for three days—which was quite disappointing. Overall, while the location is a strong advantage, the service really needs improvement to make the most of it."

"Quiet retreat, amongst trees, vines, gardens, plenty of places to sit with a wine a book and tranquility. I found the bed to be a bit firm, im used to softer mattresses, maybe a matress topper could be option before check in. But overall the place was exactly what we needed, we relaxed, and yeyyyy no kids, aahhhh the serenity."

With spectacular views and nestled in an elevated bush land setting you can’t help but feel connected to this beautiful environment. The cabins are well equipped and spotless. All have to do is sit back and soak up the scenery. We will definitely be back again."

"Beautiful, small but perfectly formed cottage for 2 set in the most amazing gardens, near the river, and within an easy walk into town. Well set out kitchen with everything provided to self cater. Limited storage space though and only single person sized spa bath. Highly recommend. Friendly hosts."

Goldfield Holiday Units

"My wife and I spent thre nights here recently and had a wonderful stay. The units are immaculately maintained, spotlessly clean and very comfortable from the leather sofas in the Living room to the queen sized bed in the bedroom that we used. There is also a second bedroom with both a single and double bed to cater for extra guests. Our hosts Marco and Sam were sensational and couldn't have done more to make our stay an enjoyable one. The units are well located and the garden, with it's proximity to the Ovens River also add to the appeal. We would not hesitate to recommend Goldfield Holiday Units."
