"Had a great stay here! Every day, I could just relax in my room and enjoy the stunning sea view right from my bed. It's about 20km from the old town, but there's a bus stop just 200 meters from the hotel. While the bus schedule isn't frequent, it's still pretty convenient, especially since parking in the old town is so expensive. The staff were all really nice too."

"The hotel is located on a hillside approximately 15-20 minutes north of Dubrovnik therefore a car is essential if you want to explore the surrounding area. The closest beach is a 20-minute walk down the hill from the hotel; you can drive to the same beach in 5 minutes; however, parking is limited & there is no shade available. The general ambience of the hotel is relaxed, and it feels like a large villa with an eclectic array of tasteful furniture. The main front of house staff Billy, Dianna & Andre are extremely help. ******* describes each room as having a flat screen TV however there was no TV in our room (Amerigo Vespucci) & the hotel policy is geared to encourage guests to use their services. There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms or a mini bar if you want to keep your own drinks cool which was inconvenient. The overhead ceiling fan didn’t work in our room therefore we were reliant on using the A/C during the night. Toiletries in the bathroom are of the refillable dispenser type & not what I would expect from a £400 (480 Euro’s) per night boutique hotel. All meals are served to you however there is no menu and only an option of meat, fish or vegetarian for dinner. The chef decides what is served. I personally thought the chief tried a little too hard & didn’t respect the integrity or freshness of the ingredients; a three-course dinner costs 65 Euro’s. We found more congenial restaurants with a superior ambience in Dubrovnik & the surrounding area. Breakfast is the same arrangement; you do not get a chose & you are always served yogurt & granola followed by a hot course. Mid-week I requested a late check-out because our flight was not until 6pm, this was problematic because the hotel was fully booked on the day of our departure. It was however agreed we could use the hotel facilities until mid-afternoon. On the day of our departure at breakfast we were subsequently told we would be required to vacate the hotel by 11 am so the hotel could be prepared for the next guests. This which was very frustrating given we wanted a relaxing day before our flight home & it had been agreed in advance. I feel the hotel is more suited to guests who stay for a couple of nights & find the idiosyncratic appeal fun for a short stay rather than patrons who want a relaxing week and ultimately find the initial charm challenging as the week progresses. I don’t think the following hotel statement is a true reflection of their intent “For us, NINON is not a business – it’s a calling! Going the extra mile is mandatory for us, because we care.”"
