"Alpchalet Schwanstein Located in the small town of Halfrech, it is a family hotel in a log cabin, a ten-minute drive from Neuschwanstein Castle. The surrounding scenery is pleasant. There is a restaurant next to the hotel. The steak is good and the decoration is also very stylish. The hotel room is large, very clean and tidy. There is a small coffee machine in the room. We live on the first floor. There is a yard full of grass behind. It is very comfortable to sit and drink coffee and bask in the sun. The key is that the boss is a Chinese couple. My wife had the Saltinbocca alla Romana, and she was very pleased with it. My daughters had the Gnocchi 4 Formaggi and the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, and they also were very happy with their meals. "The environment was fantastic; the surrounding villages, bathed in sunlight, were picturesque. A nearby hill is a great spot for skiing in winter and paragliding in summer, with stunning scenery. The room was clean and tidy, and the shower room was one of only two enclosed ones we encountered during our trip in Germany, unlike the semi-enclosed ones in other hotels. My daughter remarked that the Chinese landlords were truly thoughtful in their design. It's about a ten-minute drive from Neuschwanstein Castle, which is very convenient."
