Raffaele is a charming and welcoming host, who suggested places to visit and, more importantly, good restaurants. The B&B is not far from the Ceramics Museum - my main reason for visiting. I didn't have breakfast there, so can't comment on it. "

"Terrible place that doesn't live up to the photos posted. Small, old rooms with a tiny window and an overwhelming musty, musty smell. The bed had a sagging mattress and pillows as high and hard as bricks, it felt like sleeping on a hill. The bathroom was old, the shower door kept coming off and water was leaking out, no windows. Stained underwear towels... We were even asked if we wanted the room cleaned or if we would do it ourselves! Absolutely a place we will never return to... given the value for money. Truly, truly terrible!!"

"Very positive: We had a very large, clean room with a terrace with fantastic views. Ate twice at the restaurant for dinner. Excellent pasta and very attentive staff. It would have been nice to have a larger selection of menu items, as neither of us eat fish. Breakfast was extensive, well stocked and staffed. The hotel, (while I'm sure management knows, needs a little updating here and there, such as hall and stair carpets,) was exactly what we needed for our stay on Sicily - tranquility."

"The outdoor structure can be cheated but inside it is renovated (excellent) clean with the bathroom in a splendid room. The restaurant is well provided for breakfast, so far it is the most comfortable place where I have been and I have been turning a lot for Italy What to say the gentle owner is ready for every request, sure if I have to rebuild will be here THOUT COUNCIL!!"

"Almost 9 years since the last review, so maybe this one is long overdue. Yes,it was a former monastery, outffitted to make it a hotel. It is a little austere in the room. Perhaps a little "glam" couldn't hurt. Staff were willing to help despite communication issues. Room was large, a little basic with everything you needed except for a working fridge. Good Italian breakfast but like most lacking any protein, neither meat, cheese nor any eggs. Based on what I paid poor value..."
