Hotel Meira ★★★★
"Our family stayed in the Meira hotel just for one night on out Camino trip. The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean with everything we needed. Additionally, we needed to depart early in the morning at 6.00 am and the hotel staff was so kind that they have prepared a breakfast package for us and the receptionist gave us the package during our morning check-out. The hotel is in the town centre and 5 minutes walk from the beach and beach road full of restaurants. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy all the hotel facilities due to very short stay."
Donna Nega Alojamento Local ★★★
"Very close to the street , room very small , it’s clean and staff is nice"
Hotel Porta do Sol Conference & Spa ★★★★
"They do not offer the same features in Spanish as in Portuguese."
Design & Wine Hotel ★★★★
"We are on el camino trip and had a good rest here. totally worth it."
Quintinha D`Arga ★★★
"Amazing view, thematic room, spectacular staff....recommend it always. It has the best staff and it is cost, friendly and family driven. I love it. The food, homemade and amazing. Wine perfect. Best finding. I recommend it to everyone. Hidden place in heaven"
Quinta da Quinhas ★★
"Beautiful little farmhouse, in the mountains, very sweetly decorated, very peaceful, warm and friendly atmosphere. Annabel who worked at the front was very helpful and showed us everything. Kitchen open for us to use and cook. Breakfast in the morning was included and had everything--eggs (you had to make them but all pots/pans there), cheeses, meats, fruit, bread. It is a bit away from the main city but worth staying here. Something different."
Prazer da Natureza Resort & Spa ★★★★
"An excellent family friendly hotel. The 2 bedroom villa is well equipped our whole family (2 adults and 2 children). The pool and playground was very popular and it is a nice peaceful hotel surrounded in lots of nature. It is situated very close to the beach and also Caminha so there are lots of things to do. I would highly recommend!"
Albergaria Quim Barreiros ★★★
"I arrived very early. Early October and it was predicted to be 30C at midday so I woke up very early and walked hard the 20km to arrive before the real heat of the day. The receptionist was amazing. She arranged for an early check in at 11.30 and couldn’t have been nicer. Whilst the room is a little tired ( it’s the first photo in the list here with the twin beds and the fishing boat painting above the beds). It’s not an expensive hotel but the reception, lift etc all look in good condition. The lobby and common areas were cool, however I couldn’t seem to get the a/c to work in the room The receptionist was extremely helpful but apparently the building is on one system and nothing can be done to make my room cooler. I would like to praise the hotel for its cleanliness, the helpfulness of the staff, etc. but it seems to me that 30C isn’t very hot for the Portuguese summer. This isn’t the summer, so before you stay here I strongly suggest you check out if the a/c has been improved."
Rinoterra Minho ★★★★
"My husband Giles and I took a six day cycling holiday in Northern Portugal that we’d booked and arranged via Inntravel (they are a British company who specialise in walking and cycling holidays). We stayed at three different hotels (each one for two days) and Rinoterra was the last on our travels - and wow did they save the best for last! Rinoterra is set in a small quiet street away from all the hustle and bustle and is just a total oasis of peace, quiet, calm, relaxation and comfort. We’d cycled about 20 miles to reach Rinoterra - the final ascent had been quite steep - so it was a joy to be greeted by Liliana our hostess with such enthusiasm and warmth! She was super friendly and efficient and took the time to explain all the amenities to us (the new spa, indoor pool and relaxation rooms are spectacular!) and we had a wonderful big room with great views across the Rio Minho to the mountains of Northern Spain. Anna, the wonderful chef prepares and serves OUTSTANDING meals! If you’ve got a hearty appetite you will not be disappointed! She was so accommodating as well for me because I’m pescatarian and only eat tiny portions and she made sure that I was really well fed with little portions that were perfectly presented and utterly delicious! There’s a beautiful cosy atmosphere about all the parts of the old house and we were able to just relax and soak up the surroundings after a half day cycling followed by an hour or so in the pool and spa. The whole place is spotlessly clean and ALL the staff were super friendly and helpful. If I win the lottery I am moving in!"
