"Stayed two nights at Black Bear on our section hike. It's a good place to stay. Nice setting along a creek. The cabins are larger than at most of the hiker hostels we have stayed, and are neat and clean. No bedding is provided as I remember. They just have sheets on the beds. They have all the amenities that hikers need, laundry ($5.00), loaner clothes, shuttles (fee), general store with typical food (pizza, soda, beer, hiker foods and other snacks.. a small hiker building, where you can watch tv, movies, use the computer, or cook a pizza. Shower house is clean. They also had a cafe up the hill where you can have breakfast for a reasonable cost. They cater to hikers, but also have a wide variety of other guests, travelers, reunions, weddings, etc. This is a family friendly establishment."
