Troia Design Hotel
8.2 (83 reviews)

Troia Design Hotel ★★★★★

📍 Marina de Tróia, Tróia, Carvalhal

"Great hotel! I think this is the best that can be found in this location for reasonable money. I really liked it. Huge beds, great pool, good service, large rooms, bathroom with bath and shower, promenade for walks. The hotel really was a pleasant surprise. We really wanted to stay another day, but unfortunately there were no available rooms."

The Anchor Troia Sea ★★★★

📍 Alameda do Zambujeiro, Carvalhal

"The location is beautiful, the hotel is located on the calm and warm seafront. The welcome was good, and the staff was very attentive. Small drawbacks: the sauna was closed, the steam room was closed, the jacuzzi was closed, the Italian restaurant was closed, and the elevator was faulty (one of the three was working)."

The Pearl Troia ★★★★★

📍 Alameda do Pinheiro Manso, Carvalhal

"This year, we've noticed a decline in service, and the bathroom in the studios is too small. It lacks enough towel hangers for three people, which is insufficient. We also didn't like that the hotel wouldn't let us make a reservation with children directly, but it was possible on other websites. We found this unacceptable. Regards"

"Terrible!! Potatoes in the room and they wouldn't allow me to change rooms due to the late hour, even though I had a 6-month-old baby sleeping in the room. I immediately checked out and was told they would refund the amount but that I would have to contact Trip Advisor. I informed Trip Advisor and requested a refund for the stay, as I hadn't even enjoyed one night of my reservation. Trip Advisor informed me that the hotel didn't authorize the refund. I will certainly not return to the hotel or use the services of the trip."

"My stay at The Pearl Troia was excellent. The apartment was modern, clean, and well‑equipped, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The location is perfect. Quiet (We've enjoyed ths silence so much, it was exactly what we needed,) close to nature, and just a short walk from the beach. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better."

"Everything was perfect, very clean and in a good location. The only drawback is that check-in is at 4:00 PM, a bit late."

"The house was great, the location was super central and there was a parking space in the garage. We made the reservation and they didn't inform us that check-in is not done at the apartment, when we got there the doorbell was broken and there was no information on the door. A man from a nearby restaurant told us to go to the hotel that belonged to the group to ask for help. We realized upon arrival that check in was done there, but no one informed us, so we lost 45 minutes with the check-in issue..."

Troia Residence - Apartamentos Praia ★★★★
"The apartment and location were lovely, but we felt that the amenities were somewhat lacking. However, the biggest issue we encountered was with the card key system. On the day before our checkout, the card stopped working, and we had to make multiple trips to the reception to resolve the issue. This was particularly frustrating with two young children in tow, who were sleepy and crying by the time we finally got it sorted out. It wasted an hour of our time and caused unnecessary stress. We were told initially that we had already checked out, which was not the case, and it took three attempts before we were finally able to enter the apartment. Given the inconvenience this caused, we hope that the hotel will review their card key system to prevent such errors in the future. *Pros:* Lovely apartment and location *Cons:* Lack of amenities, card key system issues Overall, we would consider staying here again if they address these issues."
