"Nice experience. Old hotel, but kept well and very clean. Position covered just in front of the door. Rooms each with its terrace sea view. Great view! From the back, you go up a trailer and a few meters of street and you are on, to the cathedral and the castle. Visited with the guide, very interesting, and well maintained. In the square, we eat something at a local's tables in the square. The hotel was very friendly and available to make a coffee at any time. Abundant and really good breakfast. It's all right!"

"I booked this hotel loving the majority of photos they have online of their rooms. BEWARE…only 5 rooms are renovated and modern suites- the rest of the hotel is very out dated, chipped paint, old furniture, and terrible bathrooms in need of renovation. There is often no staff around for any assistance. Location is great- right on the water but that is it. Town is sweet and not touristy. Small and quaint and a good point to visit neighbouring beaches and towns. A major disappointment if you aren’t in one of the 5 suites. The suites are the only way to go with private balconies overlooking the sea."

"We stayed at the B&B La Rosa Antica in Castro and had a truly pleasant experience. The property is strategically located: very close to the historic center and just minutes from the sea in Castro Marina, one of the most beautiful villages in Salento. The rooms are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the tranquility of the place, ideal for those seeking relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast is a highlight: plentiful, with fresh, typical local products, homemade cakes, seasonal fruit, and excellent coffee. The owners, Maria and Luigi, are extremely kind and always available, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Mr. Luogo even went to the nearby town in the morning to get lemon cream and Nutella tartlets for breakfast. Super. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back. Furthermore, the quality-price ratio is excellent: the property offers comfort and authentic hospitality at truly competitive prices for the area."

"We have just had the most divine 3 nights stay at this beautiful hotel. We travelled as 2 couples (60+)visiting from Australia. We could not believe our luck ! The location was second to none. The swims off the rocks on the private beach were sublime. I felt I was dreaming! The facilities (the pool has to be seen to be believed) are conducive to an incredibly relaxing and comfortable holiday. The staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Alessandra , the owner, was also there to show us around and tell us the fascinating history of the hotel. Breakfast (included in the incredibly reasonable price) was delicious and served in the gorgeous living area overlooking the ocean. We will return, as will the other guests we encountered during our stay. We were a bunch of very happy customers! Thank you so much Alessandra , Gemma and Maria."

"Casa Di Giordy deserves well beyond a 10/10. We stayed for four nights and truly wished we could have stayed longer. The owners, Assunta and Rosario, made Giordy’s feel like home from the very beginning. They were incredibly accommodating — on our first night, when we missed the last bus to the house, they kindly offered to pick us up from the train station. Each morning, we were greeted warmly by Assunta and Rosario with smiles and a bountiful breakfast spread. We were spoiled for choice: cakes, crumbles, biscuits, juices, coffee, tea, cereals, and more — with extra food offered to take on our day trips. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and homely, always kept spotless by Assunta herself with fresh towels and a clean, inviting scent. The balcony offered stunning views, and the air conditioning was perfect for the summer heat. The facilities were generous and well thought out, making our stay as comfortable as possible. As visitors from Australia, we had plenty of questions, and Assunta and Rosario went above and beyond to help us. They assisted us in renting a scooter, helped us get around when we didn’t have transport, and Rosario even drove us to our next accommodation in Otranto — taking the time to stop at scenic spots along the way so we could enjoy the views. We cannot thank Assunta and Rosario enough for their generosity, kindness, and genuine care. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Casa Di Giordy isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place where you feel truly welcomed and cared for. We will absolutely be back — and we already miss you both!"
