Built in the early 1940s, our resort is steeped in local history and offers a perfect blend of rustic getaway charm and modern amenities.Please Note: The resort consists of two separate rental options: The Lake House and the 6 individual log cabins. This listing is specifically for the rental of Cabin 3.Resort Amenities & WaterfrontThe Beach: Enjoy 100 feet of pristine beachfront on the all-sports, 617-acre Fife Lake—voted the best inland lake in Northern Michigan. The water is shallow right off our dock, making it a comfortable spot for kids to swim.Water Sports: Guests enjoy complimentary use of our kayaks and paddleboards. Boat rentals are also available for experienced boaters if you'd like to cruise the lake to spot local eagles and loon nests.Seasonal Note: The beach area closes the last weekend in September, and docks are removed for the winter.Accommodations:Cabin 3 has two bedrooms plus one futon that convert to double beds. It is approximately 350 square feet and comfortably sleeps up to four adults or up to six guests if some are smaller children. The Log Cabins: Fully restored authentic log cabins featuring updated, modern kitchens and premium upgrades—ideal for couples or smaller families looking for a cozy retreat.The LocationFife Lake sits right in the center of Northern Michigan’s best outdoor recreation. The resort accommodations include the Lake House and 6 log cabins. along with complimentary use of our kayaks and paddle boards. Our resort has 100 ft of private beachfront along all sport, 617 acre Fife Lake, which is known for its great fishing and water sports. A short drive to Traverse City, Kalkaska and Cadillac put Fife Lake in the center of it all, with the Boardman River to the north and the Manistee River to the south. Whether you are looking for a getaway for 2, or a place to host a large gathering, The Lake Cabins Resort has something to fit your needs.The resort was built in the early 40’s and has lots of local history with the people and families that have enjoyed the resort in years past. We have restored the full log cabins with new kitchens and many upgrades that make for a great vacation spot. Fife Lake was voted best inland lake in northern Michigan in 2014. Our pristine beach is a great place to relax and soak up some sun. You can feel comfortable with the kids swimming off our beach as the water is shallow to the end of our dock. Boat rentals are available should you wish to tour the lake and find the eagles nests or loon’s nests. Beach area is closed the last weekend in September. Docks are removed for the winter.Cabin 2 has 2 bedrooms and 1 futon that make out to a double beds. Sleeps 5 comfortably, 6 if the children are small.
