Welcome to Casa De Gongas! We are about 5-7 minutes from Lake Mayfield and 1.5 hours from White pass, so this home is perfect for warm or cold weather.We have a two bedroom, one with queen and one with a king bed.We have a fireplace inside the house for those cold days that fills the house with warmth and a cozy atmosphere and also a fireplace outside the house for those warm days, perfect for grilling and smores.We have a long driveway thats perfect for parking your boat, snowmobiles or whatever you bringThe spaceCasa De Gongas is the guesthouse on the same property as the homeowners. It is directly next to the main house. It is not attached and is its own separate home. It is a two story house with a steep slope driveway and staircase to reach the front entrance.**LAYOUT**First floor - the entrance way opens to the kitchen, living room, dining room, full bathroom with laundry. Portable AC is installed;Second floor - This floor has three bedrooms. Master bedroom (King bed with ensuite full bath), Queen bedroom, Kids room (bunk beds with one full bed, one single bed and another single pull out at the bottom). Queen bedroom and kids room need to share the full bath downstairs. Please do not leave pets unattended; please bring poop bags and pick up after your pets.- Strictly NO parties and events, quiet hours between 10pm-8am- no smoking or vaping of any kind anywhere on the property including outdoor areas, no digital piracy, no shoes in the home. $500 fine per violation.- Use of fire pit and charcoal grill are prohibited during the burn ban**Additional Info About the Home**-The home has a steep gravel driveway that might be too slippery to drive up during winter weather. You are welcome to park at the bottom of the driveway which is very private and without through traffic.- There are 12 stairs from the fence gate to the front entrance. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, this is not a good choice.- The home is not child-proofed. Please do not leave children unattended.- Please be aware that the upper bathroom is suited inside the master bedroom. The queen bedroom and kids room need to share the downstair bathroom.- CenturyLink is the internet company. Since this is a remote area, Internet and wifi may get intermittent under certain circumstances which are out of our control (severe weather, malfunction of internet company, etc.). This charming one bedroom creek-side cottage overlooks Elk Creek just outside the small rural town of Doty. Antiques and a small wood stove looking heater, supply the interior of the cottage with a sense of warmth and country comfort. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and comfortable living room. You’ll enjoy views of the creek and surrounding woodlands, while sitting on the deck, sitting at the breakfast nook, or relaxing in the living room. Enjoy a meal on the deck from the cozy outdoor furniture or sitting at the picnic table after barbecuing. The Doty store is one of the few remaining real country stores left in the State. Inside this quaint little store, you can get ice cream by the scoop and most essentials. You can explore the trails through the old-growth forest of Rainbow Falls State Park which is only 2.5 miles from the cottage. The park also has great swimming holes, kitchen for day use, and toys for the kids to play on. Six miles west down Highway 6, you will find the town of Pe Ell. Here you will find Jones Creek Brewing, Evey’s Cafe, Jacked-Up coffee stand, Dollar General, Texaco gas station, Pe Ell County Market, and even a laundromat. Also, on your way to Pe Ell, you will find the Owl and Olive Restaurant. You’ll be able to take day trips to the ocean or visit Mt Rainier, Mt. St. Helen’s and many other sites throughout the PNW. Grab the picnic basket from the cabin, stock it up with your favorites, and walk down to the Elk Creek Falls for a picnic. The trail next to the cabin will lead you to the beautiful falls. In the spring and fall you can observe Salmon as they migrate upstream at the fish ladder. Cozy up in the living room and watch your favorite movie streaming on the Roku.
