KOKO HOTEL Premier Tokyo Bay Makuhari
9.2 (145 reviews)

KOKO HOTEL Premier Tokyo Bay Makuhari ★★★★

📍 2-7-1 Hibino, Mihama Ward, Chiba City

"■ Location & Access This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from Kaihin-Makuhari Station! It's perfect for events at Makuhari Messe or as a pre/post-Disney stay. The affordable price was also a huge plus. ■ Room The room size is decent, and having a separate bath and toilet made it very comfortable. I was also happy to find that the pajamas were a two-piece set (long-sleeved top and long pants). However, the bed and pillows were quite firm, and I woke up with a bit of a sore body the next morning. If you're not a fan of firm bedding, that's something to keep in mind. ■ Public Bath & Services The spacious public bath was very relaxing. What surprised me was that all the shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, and showerhead were from 'ReFa'! I was so pleased to be able to try out items I'd been curious about. Additionally, the free ice cream bars and drinks after the bath were a nice touch. My only complaint was that later in the evening, all the cups for water were gone, and it didn't seem like they were being restocked, so I couldn't even get a drink of water."

ROYAL PINES HOTEL CHIBA ★★★★

📍 1-11-1 Chūō, Chuo Ward, Chiba City

"The hotel room was pretty good. They even provided a complimentary bottle of water in the mini-fridge. It's located within a park square, and check-in is on the second floor. It's not far from the monorail station, but it's about a 10-minute walk to JR Chiba Station."

Capsule Hotel the Inn ★★

📍 2 Chome-6-6 Shinjuku, Chuo Ward, Chiba City

"It's more than a 10-minute walk from Chiba Station, but it's conveniently located just a few minutes from the neighboring Chiba Chuo Station. The room was spacious and clean, and very comfortable. However, the walls are simple, so you'll need to use a shared booth for things like phones. The price is reasonable, especially since it has a shared bathroom."

Tosei Hotel Cocone Chiba Chuo Hotels in Chiba City

Tosei Hotel Cocone Chiba Chuo

"This is an unmanned hotel that just opened on February 10th. There were many opening flower baskets on the ground floor. The check-in process was a bit complicated; you needed to enter your information on the website beforehand and upload passport photos. It's very close to Chiba Chuo Station, about a one-minute walk from the station exit. There was no one at the front desk; guests had to check in at a self-service machine. It would then dispense a sheet with the room and floor password. However, when we checked in, the system malfunctioned and only displayed the room password, preventing us from immediately entering the fifth-floor area (there's another access control after the elevator). The staff came quickly and sincerely apologized; their attitude was excellent. We booked a deluxe twin room, which was quite spacious. It had a separate bathroom and toilet, a traditional Japanese style, with a separate toilet stall, which is rare in most hotels. There were two or three bottles of mineral water, and the room provided a toothbrush and toothpaste. I must mention the steam massage bathtub (JAXSON brand) in the bathroom—it was incredibly comfortable! It completely cured all the fatigue from a long day…"

"Great location a stone's throw from the train station. On the other side of the train station is a department store with quite a few restaurant options. Rooms are cramped as per usual with APA hotels. The staff was very helpful when I tried to get football and baseball tickets. If I come back to Chiba I'll likely stay at this hotel again."

"Great location and the hotel is quite new. Didn't get a chance to try many of the hotel services, but the overall check-in experience was good, apart from the slightly long wait for the elevators."

ROYAL PINES HOTEL CHIBA ★★★★
"The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. However, there was some noise disturbance during the night from a group of students staying at the hotel, who appeared to be on a school trip. The noise could be heard from inside the room and affected the overall comfort of the stay. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience, but better noise control for large groups would make it even better."

Hotel Sunroute Chiba ★★★
"Great place to stay for my 2 weeks stay. They have place to store the luggage when we arrive early. That way we could explore the city without having taking big luggage with us. Check in / out fairly easy with the machine and most time a customer service will be around to assist any other issue. Appreciate the self service toiletries near the lobby area. Surrounding of the hotel full of good food, cafes, malls that you can self explore. Going to the train station just less than 5 mins away. How convenient. Would stay here again if have chance to visit japan."

Capsule Hotel the Inn ★★
"The location is good, 10 minutes to Chiba Station, and there are commercial streets along the way. There is a front desk on the first floor of the hotel, providing consultation services, and you can get a bottle of mineral water every day. The female single room is on the 5th floor, which is very clean and safe, suitable for single travel accommodation. There is a lounge, free Wi-Fi, a separate shower room, a dressing room, and Dyson hair dryers and lotions on the floor. There is free coffee and hot water for instant noodles. Bath towels and bathrobes are changed every day, and the service is in place. It is cost-effective and worth recommending."
