We checked into Suri Qinghe Cliffside Cave Retreat – a place where the layers of time are deeply etched. Thirteen century-old dwellings, carved into the 'heavenly red cliffs' during the Guangxu period, are beautifully integrated with the surrounding bamboo forest. Open your window to a magnificent waterfall, cascading like a silvery river. All you hear is the soothing 'white noise' of nature, and the hustle and bustle of city life instantly melts away.
