"Staying at Wotianju this trip was a delightful surprise! It's incredibly close to all the attractions, basically within ten minutes. We drove there ourselves, and the hotel itself is unbelievably huge – you even need to drive to get around inside! The front desk also gave us a free room upgrade, which made us really not want to leave. The hotel pays attention to details everywhere: the butler service is super responsive and on-call, the welcome fruit was chilled, and even a simple blanched lettuce at the Chinese restaurant was delicious. You can tell the chef really knows their stuff – it was fresh and not greasy. You could easily just stay at the hotel for all your eating, drinking, and entertainment needs. There's a huge lawn, and reading a book and having tea by the river under the trees was just incredibly relaxing; time just seemed to slow down. After dinner, we'd go swimming and then soak in the hot springs. Honestly, even though it's an outdoor hot spring, the cleanliness was excellent. Back where we're from, a hot spring of this quality for two people would cost about the same as a night's stay! I forgot my facial cleanser when we left, and the butler even arranged for SF Express to send it home – absolutely perfect! You can tell the owner put a lot of effort into the hotel's construction, design, and staff management. I would definitely come back to Zhangjiajie just for this hotel again. A hundred points!"

The courtyard is beautifully designed with a charming mix of flowers and greenery, and there are even sheep leisurely grazing. The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful, bustling around to help us with our luggage when we arrived and thoughtfully recommending fun local attractions. We'll definitely be back for our next vacation!"

"First of all, the bed in the room was very shaky; I don't know if the bed frame was broken or what. It made a noise when I turned over. I didn't sleep well all night. The central heating only lasted until 4 or 5 am, and when I checked, it was still only in the teens (Celsius). I think I didn't fall asleep until almost 6 am. The blanket was also very thin. I put on my coat and slept for two or three hours, but I still caught a cold. It took several days of medicine to get better. That night I drank a little alcohol and didn't want to lie down or move, otherwise I really would have checked out. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!"

"I had a few days off for New Year's Day, so I took my elders to the Huiyin B&B that I had collected for a long time. The B&B is in a sparsely populated village, about ten minutes' drive from Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and Jiangya Hot Spring. Crossing the bluestone road, the beautiful boss warmly received us with three dogs. The interior decoration style of Wabi-sabi style made us shine. After moving in, we felt that the interior design was even more brilliant. Details determine success or failure. This sentence is indeed true. The advantage of traveling in the off-season is that I upgraded to a suite for free, there is no need to queue up at the scenic spot, and the glass bridge is not so scary. You can have a meal at the surrounding farms, or you can make some food at the B&B yourself, or you can do nothing and be in a daze. The three-day and two-night stay made me feel refreshed. Returning to nature, leisurely, I really experienced Mr. Tao Yuanming's paradise!"

"Environment: Because I came to Jiangya to soak in hot springs, this homestay became one of the few choices. It is very close to the hot spring center and convenient for travel. After I came here, I found that the name of the store was taken from the homonym of Jiuxiwei, and Jiuxiwei was a frontier guard station established during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. At one time, it had a large jurisdiction. Take a look at the "Jiuxi Village Chronicle" placed in the guest room and walk around Jiuxiwei Village. It feels very good. The owner is also an entrepreneur who loves history and culture and came from Jiuxi Village. Hygiene: There are very few guests, and the sanitation work is good, but the waterproof treatment of the shower room is not good, causing water to leak in the bathroom. Facilities: The homestay is very large, there is no elevator, and the guest room facilities are basically complete. It is estimated that due to the very few guests, no breakfast is provided. Service: Although the girl at the front desk is not a local, she can also enthusiastically introduce the general situation of Jiuxi Village to the guests, tell us the tour route and the location of breakfast; it’s just that the package we booked, including a double magnesium hot spring, was not actively provided or asked when we checked in, and the professionalism needs to be improved. During this 20-day trip to Greater Xiangxi, I found that except for a few popular attractions, most of the attractions had only a handful of tourists. Accommodation, catering and shops were also very deserted, which was a far cry from before 2019. This feeling was also confirmed by many tourism practitioners."
