"I have never seen a more down runned, filthy, dusty bad managed hotel in my life. I booked almost a month in advance to secure my room. They squeezed me into a room in the back section, next the parking area crowded with people hanging around drinking, apparently workers from Transnet, about to go on night shift, drinking? We did not feel save, could not park our car. The manager was unprofessional and rude, with every excuse in the book. The towels were stained, thin. The room and passage was filthy and full of dust. The manager did not once tried to solve our complaint, instead he blame it on the old hotel. He refuse to compensate us , instead he blame head office. Shocking!!"

"We have a bit of a bias towards Grootvlei, we got married there in 2021 and fell in love with the place. So for our 3 year anniversary we returned with our 1 year old to see if it was as we remembered. We booked at Die Duin, or the dune side on the sea, it was just like we remembered and it was such a lovely weekend. That's the thing about the west coast, the calm sea breeze over the cold ocean cools everything down to a nice 22°C while just a few km's away inland, Vanrhynsdorp was a blistering 45°C. We did self catering and all the facilities and amenities required are available, braai's outside and inside, inverter and solar installed and nothing was required. The rooms are spacious with it's own little stoep (verandah) with table and chars. The king size bed was comfy with a firm mattress. Our room had a shower while one of the other room had a shower and bath. We will definitely be back again, it is a very special place and just as special as the first time we were there. PS, I see one keyboard warrior cried crocodile tears about children not being welcome. I suspect her partner wanted an alone breakaway and made that story up - kid are definitely welcome."

"good day, we spend two nights at the yellow aloe guesthouse and really enjoyed it. the rooms were spacious and the facilities great. a real highlight was the staff - always helpful and friendly. breakfast was great. we went for a hike and thus had to leave earlier but still received breakfast - fantastic. the food was also delicious. the best butter chicken with rice i had. really great!"

"OASIS IN THE WILDERNESS Bushmanskloof is a gem. Service is excellent, friendly and helpful with attention to the smallest detail, from your welcome on arrival to your farewell on departure. Dining is a wonderful experience as the food is of the highest standard, tasty and well presented. Congratulations to the chef. You are surrounded by a warm atmosphere and a very tasteful interior design. The collection of ceramics is particularly delightful. Our guide Liam was most knowledgeable and a source of much information. The picnic was a most pleasant experience. As a big surprise we were spoilt with a private dinner in a fairytale atmosphere created by a crackling fire and a lot of candles. A venue to be highly recommended."
