"Thank you Emmanuel and Fabrice for creating a lovely, relaxing haven! We highly recommend others stay at Thoas Lodge to experience the natural beauty of the property and surrounding area. Thoas Lodge is located near beautiful beaches, a "hidden" waterfall, great restaurants, and fun adventure tour companies. The owners/hosts provided information and recommendations to enjoy all of these. We rented 4 ( of 6) casitas for our family of 7 adults. Each casita is well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. We loved sitting on our front porches watching the incredible blue butterflies - "Morpho Helene. The pool area is very nice and there are trails leading to a small river. The road leading to the Lodge is a bit rustic - 4 wheel drive recommended. Emmanuel and Fabrice were great at communicating with us. Freshly made breakfast and dinner were available upon request and delivered to each casita. - even at 5:30 am! We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Emmanuel and learning of his and Fabrice's story of falling in love with the area and their subsequent endeavor building this beautiful, conservation-minded reserve which they call home! "Marc and Rafael’s small hotel (4 rooms or bungalows) is truly something special! We stayed there for 4 days on the recommendation of friends and felt right at home from the very first moment; we were made to feel very welcome, and our wishes and needs were taken care of—almost as if we were staying with good friends. This intimate hotel complex is a magnificent gem nestled within the rainforest. The grounds are tastefully designed and impeccably maintained. Anyone looking to truly unwind and reconnect with themselves will find this secluded spot (yet just a 10-minute drive from National Highway 34) to be the perfect retreat. It had everything we needed. The food was excellent and healthy, and the drinks were delicious no matter what time of day it was. For example, when we were using the lounge chairs by the pool, Marc would often come by and bring us cold mineral water without being asked. He always kindly reminded us of the importance of staying properly hydrated. At the same time, our two hosts weren’t intrusive. Everything was just as we’d hoped—in fact, our expectations were far exceeded. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat."

"This is a true juwel! Really nice bungalow and set up, they thought of every detail-very thoughtful! Also Juan is the perfect host, super friendly, goes the extra mile and the breakfast (different each morning) was just delicious! We were there with our 4 year old and they also catered extra for him."
