Burkes Hotel Motel

"A group of 35 we stayed at the Central Motel in Yarrawonga but we had to get breakfast and dinner at the Burke Hotel Motel. This change had happened after we booked. We stayed 5 nights the breakfast service was slow. The dinners were awful cold vegetables. One dinner which we looked forward to was steak and vegetables it was all cold. We had no choice of meal. It was a very disappointing experience."

Yarrawonga Holiday Park

"Absolutely disgraceful experience at Yarrawonga Holiday Park. We paid $2,720 for an 8-night stay in a “self-contained” cabin and received conditions that fell well below basic expectations for paid accommodation. Only TWO rolls of toilet paper were provided for 8 people for the entire stay, and we were told there would be no cleaning or servicing of the cabin at all. For a business charging premium prices, providing basic hygiene necessities and reasonable standards of living should be the absolute minimum. Instead, it felt like cost-cutting at the expense of guests — saving money on cleaners and essential supplies while still charging full top-dollar rates, especially when the park is busy. When we raised these concerns, staff were rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in resolving the issue. The attitude toward paying customers was shocking and completely unprofessional. No guest paying thousands of dollars should have to chase basic amenities or tolerate conditions below fundamental living standards. Extremely poor value for money, unacceptable customer service, and a deeply disappointing experience overall. Would not recommend."
