"We entered our rooms and immediately saw a cock roach run. This made us inspect the bedding where we found many very little but clearly visible bugs. The offered us new rooms and immediately found the same bugs in the new rooms. We asked if we could just get our money back so we could go to another hotel and get some sleep. They absolutely refused and said there was nothing they can do until they speak to their manager. However, they had a name on the wall as the manager on duty. Implying there was a manager on duty and they just refused to refund us our money. Country hill inn and suites is absolutely disgusting, smelled terrible and had bugs everywhere in the bedding. I advised the on duty employee that without my refund I would be leaving this review."

"My wife and I stayed for two nights to do a little sightseeing and attend an evening wedding. We received a text message the afternoon of our check-in so we could communicate directly with the innkeepers. This was helpful because we were running about 45 minutes behind schedule, and the innkeepers were very accommodating with our delayed check-in time. Overall, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Equinox Inn. Location – A large house about two miles up the ravine from Cannon Lake. Atmosphere – Peaceful, welcoming, and feels like home. Rooms – Clean and well decorated, with thoughtful touches such as a fresh flower on the table and small chocolates placed on the bed. Value – For the level of service provided, it is a great value. A first-class breakfast is prepared and ready to eat at a time of your choosing between 8:30 and 10:00 AM. Each day, the next morning’s breakfast time is discussed with the innkeepers. They use a professional food warmer so your freshly made breakfast is served warm and delicious. You can eat downstairs in the main dining room or upstairs privately in your room if it has a table like our room did. Cleanliness – The room was fresh and very clean. Noise Level – Most of the rooms are upstairs while the innkeepers live downstairs. The noise level is low, and the area is calm and peaceful. Service – The innkeepers are friendly and welcoming. They enjoy chatting a bit to get to know their guests and create a comfortable, familiar atmosphere. Check-in is typically between 3 PM and 7 PM, but they are flexible and will usually accommodate adjustments if you communicate ahead of time. Amenities – They offer several complimentary extras. There is a drink refrigerator on the main porch with complimentary beverages such as water, soda, and a few beers. Light refreshments and snacks are also available in the main living room area. They also have a deer feeder that attracts wild deer to the property twice a day. Guests can sometimes feed the deer themselves from less than ten feet away, which is a unique experience rarely found elsewhere. Additionally, as a paid extra, you can arrange on-site massages or purchase flower arrangements from the on-site flower shop. The innkeepers are an industrious couple who offer these extras along with a great bed-and-breakfast experience. Practical Details Each room has one designated marked parking spot in the parking area just to the left of the building. The main entrance door uses a keypad (the code is provided at check-in), and each room has its own lock with a physical key provided upon arrival. The innkeepers live in the house, so they are usually available on site. There are stairs between the parking area and the main entrance on the lake side, and most of the rooms are located on the second floor.
