Hotel Alda Malvasía
"Recently renovated, clean hotel, close to the center."
Palacio Tondon, la Rioja Brinas
"The hotel was in a nice location and the restaurant was very good the back patio along the river was a highlight the rooms were small but met my needs I appreciated the front desk help and the morning breakfast’s were excellent. My complaint was that It was impossible to take a shower and not flood my room. There is clearly a known problem that the hotel hasn’t bothered to take care of because I could see the rotted baseboards near the bottom of the outside of the shower from many previous floods. The wood was damaged and peeling away from the wall. They didn’t seem to care when I told them. It wasn’t nice that they didn’t tell me to be careful if this known issue when showering so I didn’t have to step out of the shower and use every towel in the room to mop up all the water."
Natura Resorts
"The location is beautiful, we had a great time. We couldn't go into the restaurant because we had a dog, but the covered terrace was perfect. The food was very good, with some dishes being repeated, but overall we ate very well. The pool is for leisure, but everything is very clean, and the water, although cold, is inviting, given the very hot weather. I'd also like to highlight the excellent service from the waiters, receptionists, and entertainment staff. I'm not giving it 5 stars because out of the 7 days we were there, they only cleaned the villa twice; the rest of the days they just replaced a few items and nothing else. The location is close to everything, and the experience, which could have been excellent, is still a high mark, because cleanliness is important to us. However, I highly recommend it and would definitely return."
Eth Rioja
"The hotel is quite new and although it is located in an industrial estate, it has a very nice restaurant below. It is comfortable, the room was huge and the breakfast was adequate. The staff was pleasant but the bathroom had a run on the bathtub and the toilet bowl, the plastic part was scratched and worn which gave the impression of being dirty (although it was not) and did not make you want to sit there."
Wine & Soul Suites
"The apartment is amazing! We took the “gran reserva suite”, and it was perfect in every aspect! The park area is free and really a three minute walking. The decoration is great. Everything is in walking distance. When in Haro, simply book Wine and Soul!"
Santa María Briones
"The front desk staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful."
Eurostars Los Agustinos
"Cool historical building. Big rooms, nice lounge zone, center."
Hospedería Señorío de Casalarreina
"All in all it was a great stay, but maybe being Spanish, I knew what to expect. Hotels in small or medium-sized villages can sometimes not fulfill foreigner's expectations as to quality, because they might be expecting to be accomodated in the same way as in big cities. But as a Spaniard I have seen my share of these kinds of places and you end up knowing what to expect. The hotel already advertises as a 3 star, that should already tell the average traveller that somethings are not going to exactly be the Ritz. To begin with, I never book breakfast, prefering to mingle with the locals in the village-cafés, this will save you some troubles. Parking is indeed in the square in front of the hotel, but always within walking distance. The way to function the jacuzzi was explained to us, and we enjoyed a great bath which was really relaxing after driving 4 hours from Madrid, but never expected 5 star spa treatments. Never had dinner, but I'm sure it couldn't be that bad. Otherwise you have plenty of places with pinchos in the village. All in all, could not recommend this place more as long as you lower your expectations and are more open to local diversity......"

Palacio de los Angeles La Rioja
"Absolutely beautiful hotel, amazing staff, stunning room and facilities but still some teething issues. Our suite was stunning and clean. For a LHW there were a few things not there yet such as no wifi in the room and no compensation offered for this which I was surprised about. Rooms aren’t soundproof, lift wasn’t fully operational for part of the stay, no bathrobes, no steam iron, mini bar not fully stock (the local wines weren’t in the mini bar even though they were listed so had to ensure we weren’t charged for these), no addition water provided at turn down service, welcome drink is water or coffee, no shower gel in the shower instead there was bath foam. Terrace is not open yet and still being worked on, the full spa offering is not available as yet. Breakfast was lovely wine cellar has some stunning wines available. I think it could be outstanding by the summer. Just surprised compensation wasn’t offered for teething issues especially as we had to pay data charges as no wifi. Also as a LHW member we were still charged the room with breakfast rate, breakfast is meant to be free this was not reimbursed."
Palacio Condes de Cirac
"Very cozy, large room on the high floor, very beautiful house, quiet in a beautiful village, close and not very large, but sufficiently and well cared pool, normal breakfast but just, friendly staff, to repeat experience!"
Limehome Haro Calle de la Vega
"Incredible: accommodation, comfort, cleaning, location."
Hospedería Palacio de Casafuerte
"Hospederia Palacio de Caseafuerte is a beautifully restored, family run palace, nestled in the small town of Zarraton. The setting, very calm and peaceful, provided a perfect environment from which to launch our trip across Spain. The family is friendly, kind, helpful and committed to excellence in everything. The common spaces, rooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed. The grounds provide an expansive common space. Breakfast is unmatched - in addition to the usual items found in a Spanish breakfast buffet - meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, coffee, tea - the orange juice is fresh squeezed and eggs are made to order, any style. The bodegas of Haro were just a short drive as were other, larger towns in La Rioja. The family was always helpful in as we planned our outings from the hotel. We will visit again. Honestly, there was nothing we did not like. Everything surpassed out expectations."
