"The hotel is located in the Lake District, with a beautiful surrounding environment, but you'll probably need a car. There's a village commercial street about 100 meters below the hotel with plenty of food and drinks; the hotel also has a restaurant with nice scenery, but prices are relatively high, and the food is about average for England. I stayed in a family room, which was small but had two beds and a large window with a great view. There are several lakes nearby; I can ask Doubao for recommendations. There's also an old pub downstairs, a century-old one."

"We have just returned from a fabulous 2 night stay with Michael & Tracey - my only regret was that we weren’t there for longer! From the warm welcome upon arrival to the fond farewell on departure we were made to feel so welcome, and our room was lovely, absolutely ample for the 2 of us and our wee pooch. Add in the absolutely fabulous location and SENSATIONAL breakfast (which also comes with the bonus of the amazing view!) and I couldn’t recommend Bluebird Lodge more highly!"
