"I had an absolutely awful experience staying at Bella Mare Coolangatta. The couch in the apartment had been urinated on, and the entire place reeked of an unbearable stench. It was clear that no proper cleaning had been done before my stay. To make matters worse, I tried calling and emailing management multiple times, and they completely ignored me—no response, no accountability. This level of negligence is absolutely unacceptable. If you’re considering staying here, think twice. There are plenty of other places in Coolangatta that actually care about cleanliness and customer service. Bella Mare is a disgrace."

"We have stayed at Ocean Plaza several times and always enjoy the whole experience. The position is ideal, views amazing and it is close to all places that we wish to visit . Easy walking to shops , cinema, beach, clubs."

"First impressions were fabulous. The view is to die for but a couple of reasons why I would not come back is - first the lift opens straight into the apartment which seemed great until on Day 2 when I was sitting in the lounge room in my pyjamas when the lift opened and a stranger walked in. He apologised and said "oops wrong apartment" and left. The next day I used my swipe to my apartment on level 3 and it opened up onto an apartment on level 2. I reported both instances to reception who were not helpful, to say the least. They said maintenance would come next week. This is not good enough. This lack of security is one reason I would never recommend his property. Secondly there is a note in the apartment and I was sent the information via email prior to arrival advising that if we inadvertently set the fire alarm off we would be charged for the fire brigade call out ($1500). We were told to ensure the exhaust fan was turned on when cooking (which I would always do regardless). This includes when making toast. If this was to set off the fire alarm I would refuse to pay the fine due to the exhaust not being able to cope with a toaster."
