"We spent four days at this lovely heritage hotel and enjoyed a relaxing stay. We upgraded to the Silver Oak room in the annex behind the original building because it has an entry room with a desk (and twin bed) that my husband could use for writing during our stay. It worked perfectly! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. The staff was warm and welcoming and we especially appreciated Gita, the manager, who helped us before we arrived and during our stay. In addition to daily breakfast, we also ate some lunch and dinners at the hotel and can honestly say the hotel chef (who comes from the Taj) has excellent taste! The flavors of the curries we ordered were some of the best we've had on our ten week trip to India. My husband also loved the continental grilled chicken platter and said it was some of the best he's had as well. Our favorite thing to do at the end of the day was to sit in the garden and birdwatch. The highlight was spotting the tiny and adorable black and orange flycatcher ***** with the grey headed canary flycatcher. They made appearances every day we were there as did a couple huge and fabulous Malabar squirrels. Coonoor is a lovely respite from the heat and dust of the valley below and it's easy to understand why the British developed this hill station as a summer destination so long ago. Staying at Wallwood Garden Hotel helped us feel like we were living "back in the day...""

"We had an absolutely wonderful honeymoon stay at Tea Nest, Coonoor, in the Lemongrass Suite. Everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and surrounded by the serene beauty of the tea plantations. The complimentary plantation walk in the evening and the early morning bird-watching session were delightful and made our stay even more memorable. The complimentary foot massage for the ladies was a thoughtful touch and a perfect way to relax. The hospitality was exceptional throughout our stay. A special mention to Nancy at the front desk, who was warm, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. She made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The peaceful atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food, and attention to detail made this a truly memorable experience. "Excellent hotel. I had booked online reaching hotel saw property was fantastic. Check in was done by 12.00 pm. Had booked in standard double room which was good. Washrrom too was good . Only drawback desk table no chair was in my room and one teapoy. Breakfast options too was good. Being off season had got at reasonable price rooms. Season time rates more . Overall very good hotel in conoor. I would really recommend this hotel to all travellers coming to Conoor."
