"This is one of those hotels where you know you have struck gold the moment you walk through the doors! Everything about it oozes style and quality, let alone its stunning location above a river gorge, and the terrace and pool overlooking it. Dinner was booked for us at the restaurant opposite as the hotel restaurant isn't open in the evening (don't let that put you off: our dinner was excellent!) We had a 'river view' room and it was lovely to open the doors to the balcony and hear the sound of rushing water below. The breakfast buffet was one of the finest I have seen, with home-made calls, and a big selection of home-made mueslis and granolas. This is quite a magical place, and we wished we could have stayed for more than one night."

"A beautiful building in walkable distance form the train station. Easy access to all of the sites including the old city, citadel and hiking routes. Service is impeccable. The real difference are the hosts who go beyond with advice and help for your trip. Highly recommend"

"Lovely hotel and fantastic staff. Victoria was really friendly and helpful and made the stay a real treat. We were out of season but nothing was too much trouble and we had dome great advice about the (amazing) local hikes Nice room and a good breakfast. "

Les Jardins de La Glacière ★★★

"Quite far out, a long uphill walk from the train station, mostly without pavements and unlit. Lovely pool and outside area, great to access swimming in the stream in the valley. Breakfast was okay but you need to argue if you book with it included in the rate as we did (they tried to charge us). The staff were unfriendly, they left at 8pm, everything closed at that time, the only way of getting food or drink after that was a vending machine but that was broken. Basic rooms with uncomfortable beds, shower took forever to get warm. The next closest hotel (Auberge) has a fantastic restaurant and was very close, but they are closed on Mondays so it was a half hour walk each way to town for food/drink. No taxis seem to be available."

"Great option on the outskirts of town with parking onsite and walkable to the old town. We got a room without balcony or view which was fine as there are stunning views from anywhere in Corte including the hotel terrace and pool. Aircon worked great and the room seemed newly renovated and in good condition. Bathroom had a great rain shower and the room had a safe, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee. It was excellent value at €104 without breakfast."
