"This resort on Phillip Island is located next to a wetland park, with a small wildlife park right outside. It's a 20-minute drive east to the Penguin Parade and Nobbies Centre, and a 20-minute drive west on the way back to town is the chocolate factory coffee shop. The area is teeming with wild kangaroos, rabbits, grey geese, local waterbirds, and fire ants. At night, we spotted possums in the trees and then realized they were everywhere around our cabin. The room itself was an older-style holiday cottage with a full kitchen, including a dishwasher. The facilities were a bit dated and had a few minor issues. The staff were pretty unnoticeable after check-in and weren't particularly helpful. The little penguins return to their nests around 8 PM (we didn't book tickets specifically for this). Nobbies Centre is definitely worth a visit; we even saw penguins incubating eggs under the boardwalk!"

"This hotel exceeded my expectations. Both the room facilities and the outdoor areas were incredibly tidy and clean. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure, the bath towels were new, and both the mattress and pillows were very comfortable and felt new. The sheets and pillowcases were also new, and there was no strange odor in the room. The air conditioning provided good warmth, and there was even a small backyard. I think the price was quite reasonable, far better than those places that look good but turn out to be nothing special."
