"Does the job. Aside from the microwaves I’d say cleanliness isn’t really that much of a problem since things are just scuffed up. Obviously the place is past its heyday. Bottom line is that it’s a great value, especially on a Saturday night. I even get pyjamas with my orange towel."

"It was conveniently located near the station, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was spacious enough. The staff were also very helpful. The window in the room I stayed in didn't open, probably due to its structure, and although there was an air conditioner, it was not the type that was attached above, but rather placed on the tatami mat, so it was difficult to cool the entire room. That was my only disappointment."

"This old-style hot spring hotel in Akita is nestled in the mountains at the foot of snow-capped peaks, offering a tranquil and secluded atmosphere. The staff provided excellent service, and the entire group came to see us off upon departure, which was very touching. However, the facilities were somewhat outdated, the water pressure in the rooms was low, and the doors were locked after 10 PM. The breakfast was decent, but I recommend dining out for dinner."
